Well, I'm not sure if chodolo is an insult in Spanish. It didn't pop up in a search in Spanish regular or slang dictionaries. It should be noted that the post you point to, it does not seem to be the intent for Sir Peter the sage to use this word as an insult, rather responding to this nation:
