Ejection?

I'm confused as to the rules for making proposals to the UN. I made a proposal that very politely identified a concern I had, the concern is this, the UN is not and at no point was ever intended to handle domestic issues a like gambling, prostitution, gay marriage, or abortion rights. It's to handle international issues on a large scale. So I proposed we disallow proposals that concern domestic issues. I was ejected from the UN on the grounds that the proposal was radical. Why is this radical? If it is radical, what is wrong with it?

Proposals to limit the UN fall under the catagory of "Game Mechanics" and are therefore not allowed.

You should have a look at the "before you make a proposal" sticky at http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=282176
Seems a fair question, though without seeing the proposal one cannot tell!

I see how that affects game mechanics, I thought it was more affective of UN mechanics, but in any case I wish I would've recieved a warning before being ejected.

"clearly the UN can infringe on whatever it wants because the option to make such proposals exists."
That rule is funny, it sounds alot like the UN can infringe on whatever it wants. Even itself. It can make rules to do whatever it wants.
I know the rules are the rules, but that rule is fairly objective.

No they aren’t.
"clearly the UN can infringe on whatever it wants because the option to make such proposals exists."
The option to restrict the power of the UN does not exist therefore you can't do it.
For the sake of argument lets say you're right. And lets say your proposal makes it through. Like 'proper grammar' it wouldn't be able to do anything. The game wouldn't be recoded and the mods wouldn't do it manually. Sure some people in the forums would point to it when they don't like something infringing on their sovereignty (and lets face it even within nations that is subjective and sometimes downright hypocritical) but it would have no power. It would be useless.
So it get's taken out of the queue now rather than annoy everyone later and you get chucked out for not 'understanding' the rules or whatever.
If you want to be a part of The UN I suggest joining with a new nation and post your proposal here before submitting it so we can tell you if it's illegal..

Well that'd be fine, but I don't want a new nation, I like Qazaqatiova, part of the fun I was having was being as real as possible. I suppose I'm more pissed because I wasn't warned.

From the 'submit a proposal' page:
Inappropriate proposals will be removed. This includes proposals that:
suggest changing how the game works (use the Forum instead)
contain descriptions that do not match the category and effect
are not worthy of the UN's consideration
For more detail on what constitutes an inappropriate proposal, see here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=282176)
You cold ask the mods for help or put a 'The' in front of your name… I'd hate to see you stop participating in The UN.

See, it never mentions ejection from the UN. Anyway, I've made a new nation and it is in the UN, although I'm not sure I'm happy at all about having to make more than one nation. Still pisses me off.
