The Gameplay Forum is therefore broadly for NS World issues, not Forum issues. This would include:

Discussion of in-game technical maneuvres and the underlying politics, more specifically:
Regional publicity and PR, in the form of, but not necessarily limited to:

Region Directories / Recruitment.
Regional Forum / Website Directory.

What you MAY NOT advertise, ANYWHERE on this site, are other games or products. But recruitment/regional ads are fine in the Gameplay forum.

According to the official records, a Game Moderator sent you this telegram:
It is against the rules to advertise your region anywhere other than the feeder regions or the Gameplay forum.
[Emphasis mine.]

Advertising your region in the feeder regions and the Gameplay forum is fine. Advertising elsewhere is not.

To build on what Cog' said, you can advertise in player created regions ONLY if you have the FOUNDERS PERMISSION, no one elses.

Neo is right, you can advertise with the founder's permission but not with, say, a delegate elected in the absence of a founder.

Oh ok it was an easy mistake.

If you get permission from the founder, you better keep that message in your TG box, or you still might get deleted because of a native reporting you. You need proof to back up your claim of permission to advertise.

Gothicville got deleted for advertising a change in alliance, and he had no founders backing him up that he had permission. A founder's permission might as well be void without proof.

If you're worried about this sort of thing, then yes, do ask to receive permission by telegram and keep the telegram. Good Advice. :)

Unfortunately, everyone has a limited telegram box size, so I'm not sure how well this will work out in practice; it would limit how many regions you could advertise in. Hmmm.... Maybe that's a good thing?

What we need is a "save box", just like in a php forum. That will be a great place to guard important messages, and it doesn't clog up your actual message box. This is a great idea for technical :)

Until Tech can come through, I would recommend screenshooting any permissions. Print screen works, or there are some freebie screen shooting programs out there. :)

Screenshots are generally not accepted because they can be altered so easily.

Screenshots can be doctored, forged, photoshopped, or otherwise altered to falsify telegrams or Civil Headquarters board posts. For this reason, they are NOT accepted as evidence.

I do wish it were that easy, just take a screenshot and post it. Some people do try to do that. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work well, I'm afraid; it's too easy to make it look like someone said something, when they really didn't.

Could a Mod please explain in what manner notifying ones allies of a change in policy qualifies as recruitment spam?
