I just want to know how to delete my nation and stop playing this.

To delete your nation, either A) Give your nation to someone else, if they want it, by creating a "Giving Up My Nation" thread, or B)Don't log in to your nation for 28 days, and it will be deleted for inactivity.

whoops...sorry myrth. :)

If you would REALLY like to make your nation irretrievable (for instance, you think you can't resist the temptation to come back) I suggest resetting the password to a random string of letters and numbers.

With apologies to Katganistan, I'm going to elaborate on this a little.

If you would REALLY like to make your nation irretrievable (for instance, you think you can't resist the temptation to come back) I suggest resetting the password to a random string of letters and numbers.
You could do this, if you were absolutely certain that you never wanted to come back. This is a bit extreme and I recommend against this unless you're fighting the kind of temptation Katganistan spoke of (for example, fighting an Internet addicition of some kind).

Otherwise, I suggest just letting the nation die of inacitivity. Inactive nations can be resurrected upon request (as long as it wasn't deleted for rulebreaking), so set an E-mail address in your Settings now so that you can get a new password (in case you decide to come back). If you scramble your password and don't set an E-mail, then you do not have the option of getting that nation back.

Quick Q for a Mod:

If you want to bring back a nation, does it have to have an email assigned to it before it died? I know the password, but I never set the email address.

Not a moderator, but I am fairly certain that the answer to your question is "no".

Don't think so, but please, please, please make sure you have a valid e-mail address set, because it causes no end of trouble when people forget their password.

As long as it was deleted to inactivity, any nation can be brought back, with or without an email address.

However, if it's deleted due to inactivity, and we bring it back, and you forgot the password, and there's no e-mail addy.... YOUSA OUTTA LUCK!

Well, they did die from inactivity when life got a bit chaotic during the summer. I keep nation names and passwords written down, but having the email address listed is a good point. Thanks, all, for the replies.
