I cant get on my nation Japaican Insanity for some reason. It says password invalid and I know that i'm putting in the correct passoword because i type it in every day. Then I tried to get my password via email but it said that i never provided an email. I know that i gave an email because i needed to, to get on the forums. And i'm positive that I never changed it. So it think that someone hacked my nation. I dont know how this is possible because i never told anyone my password or anything. Would it be possible for a mod to send me the password via jap8818@comcast.net? You can tell that i'm the original creator from my IP right? Do you think it was from a nation hack? Please help.

Yeah, but they can see that i'm the one who originally made the nation through my IP and that the last person who logged in wasnt from my IP. Cant they? Well, unless it was my brother.

I don't have enough information to determine if it isn't or not; honestly, maybe moderation action was taken against the account. You do seem like someone well-versed in how NS works to put a e-mail address in your Settings, so, that's the only theory I can conjure up at the moment.

Regardless, I'd relax for a bit and wait for the moderator's to respond, because until this is figured out, there's no use worrying about it.

I doubt a mod would do that. I mean, they would just deat the account. Plus, I havnt done anything wrong last time i logged on so mods would have no reason to take action against me

Sometimes when a poster gets drunk and comes online, I've witnessed the mods doing what you've described to your account.

My apologies: I have a tendency to understate things. Strike out "significant" and read as "very very long". Delays of a few weeks are common.

It depends upon when the Admins have time. The Admins are volunteers, just like the Mods.

I dont think that thread is deserving of what you did, because it wasnt a suicide by mod attempt.

But, if you feel like it should, then i dont really want to wait several weeks, since "japaican insanity" is a newly made nation.

But what is the point of screwing with the password and email opposed to just deating it. I mean, if i cant get on, then its basically like it's not there. All it does is cause confusion.

No, I wasn't, I was using it as an example, that's all, of a case I could think of in which the moderation staff would act that way; Cogitation explained that vis-a-vis when someone commits suicide-by-mod.

I don't know; maybe one of them will post why. Personally, I'd love to see how frustrated someone was by being thwarted at their attempts at SBM.

If someone was attempting a SBM then he/she wouldnt do it just to get deated. He/she would do it to either:

a) piss off mods or people of nationstates
b) have fun spamming -or-
c) go down in glory and be in the ns history books

Trust me, i know what i'm talking about. My reason for spamming is "b", although i've never done it to purposely get deated.

okay, so you say that Jap has to send an appeal through the ns admin email, and that it would take several weeks.... but after several weeks, wont the nation be deated. As teh other guy who had lodged an appeal said, it was round 3 weeks since he lodged it. Do the mods put it on vacation or somthing...

If a nation dies of inactivity, regardless of whether they filed an appeal or not, they can get it resurrected if said appeal is approved.

Japaican Insanity never got deated. Cog changed the password and the email. It's still up for debate whether it should be deated. Guess the dead baby jokes weren't too popular mod-wise.

By repeatedly and willfully pushing the limits, you have demonstrated that you have no respect for rules or proper behavior whatsoever and we Mods will not tolerate it anymore.
