Mods, this isnt right. Guff was banned because he flamed vastiva? He shouldn't be flaming, if you call the language he used flames but vastiva kept moaning about things that happened months ago. I am not posting this on his behalf I am posting this because it ain't fair. Ive made a quick summary of what happened here.

HP posted as guffingford a story where he invades portugal and spain. Chellis and other people named before joined in, where not satisfied about something, searched and found a few awfully flawed reasons to ignore HP. That's not his main concern he's pissed becauce people like vastiva (I wont repeat what he really said about him) kept going on about things which were closed or deleted by mods. HP asked for an explanation from NATO's side here: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=364671 read it. This OOC thread explains a lot of why HP and many others are very annoying by certain people. Also of imprtance, vastiva complains about HP/Guff here: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=364094 which links to here: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t...11&page=2&pp=15 As you can see Vastiva keeps talking to Momanguise about a list of people you must avoid. He never actually gave the list but it was enough to piss several people off including HP. That triggered it all.

I would also like to point out that the prevention of HP posting will cause NS to suffer. HP has a very popular RL claims thread where much of international incidents politics is currently based. Such as the NATO and RWC conflict. The prevention of keeping this thread updated and modern with the ever changing tide of information will not be beneficial to nationstates.

Therefore I suggest for the benefit for a lot of players that HP be allowed to post or at least allowed to post in a limited fashion, ie the RL claims thread only.

I do hope the mods will do the right thing.

Momanguise is a good RPer in my opinion. And yes, I'm HP. I'm using this nation for my RP's now because I wanted to start anew without HP history chasing me. But some people (IDF, Chellis, Hamptonshire, Vastiva - who else?) don't accept that as a valid reason.

Vastiva if you have grudge against me spit it out instead of spreading your shitty lies to everybody just to make me look bad. I'm going to take this someplace else if you don't shut your mouth.
Severe flamebaiting. This is basically where it started.

Now, Vastiva has shown a considerable lack of tact, but I'm not sure (as yet) if it's warnable. I'll let another Moderator decide his case. In any event, Guffingfords response was not acceptable and he was forumbanned. Remember that forumbans are against a player, not a specific nation controlled by that player. Guffingford was forumbanned, and so he should not be posting with any puppet, "Holy Panooly" included.

What constitues the "right thing" is a matter of opinion, and opinions will vary. However, as far as actual binding decisions go, this is subject solely to Moderator and Administrator discretion. As the matter stands, our opinion is contrary to your opinion.

With the evidence provided by Unfied Sith and Cogitation I would say that Vastiva would be just as justified with a ban as HP.
