The Republic of McJamesBrown
The Republic of McJamesBrowns
Chaos project phase 2
Radcal eds freinds
Radical Eds Friends
Im a gonna cutz ya
Mcdagger - "supposedly" he's not but i wouldn't mind it if you could check
Q republic - spamming and telegram spamming

Sorry, but i'm PISSED. I'm trying to make sure we DON'T have to password-protect our region. In fact, the spammers are spamming our region as I type this message.

Don't delete the spam in your tgram box. It will give our Game Mods an opportunity to verify what you're saying.

This spamming has gotten quite annoying...I'm in the region of Japan and these spammers plague our region. When I was in the region of Anime, this was very bad as well.

Already know this...thanks for a quick response, though. I see the spam has already been deleted, as one Nation has.

I think the only thing that's going to stop them would be an IP ban.

Passwording the regions would help prevent spammers.

I hope that stops them. They may be smart enough to begin using different computers, such as ones at libraries or at school. I remember someone somewhere saying that believing they would be smart enough to do that would be to give them too much credit, but it is always better to overestimate an enemy than to underestimate them. But I definitely think an IP ban is appropriate in this situation. At least the most recent wave of fools is being deleted as we speak.

Yes, and one more just registered and moved to our region once more. Nergal is in our region, and he's witnissing this too. I'm mad, and I don't deny that. Password protecting cures spam, but that's a last-ditch effort. It means we can't recruit new people to our region.

Use a sign up region, they go there before going into your region. That allows you to check if they are spammers or not. Sure that region might get spammed, but at least it's not your main region.

That may not work. The most recent attempt at compromising the integrity of our region involved sending in a nation that played innocent the whole time. If they all play innocent while in the recruiting nation, we will not be able to tell the legitimate nations from the spammers.

Radical Eds Friends was in our region for a VERY long time, yet all of a sudden he joined in with the spammers...it's disappointing to see a "friend" turn to the Dark Side.

:D :D By the way...Thanks again, Cogitation, for deletion :D

What a revolutionary idea!

Sorry for the delay- been away from the computer most of the day. I'm checking into it now. And that IP ban is still pending. (Goddamn do I sometimes wish game mods could handle IP bans!)

EDIT: Except it looks like Coggy beat me to it. Phooey.

They are not going to stop until Planeswalkers from the region of Anime leaves. I do not know what they have against him (he thinks they are from winmx), but they have said that they will continue on indefinitely until he leaves. Because of this, a permanant solution is required. I do hope that the IP ban will come into effect soon.

IP ban is most definitely needed. They won't stop spamming OUR region, and i've never heard of this "planeswalker" person. He's definitely not in our region. The way they talk, they're giving a very bad name to French Canadians, saying they all hate Americans and anime in general.

They've said themselves that IP bans are the only thing that's going to stop them.

I wish I knew the entire backstory, but it seems as though they would leave us all alone if Planeswalkers left Anime. Planeswalkers is in Anime, but once they started spamming there, they moved on to several other anime-related regions. I know you have never heard of Planeswalkers, but they have something against him, and apparently that is how this all began.

I would recommend the targeted regions password protect themselves for the next few days while I nag (loudly and incessantly) on the admins to take more permenant measures.

Sorry about all this trouble, guys @_@

>.<

Password protecting...ug. I really don't want to do that...

Our founder has kicked them out of our region, but that probably won't last until they log on again. Passwording our region for a couple of days would make sense...but those spammers have already scared off a couple of newbies. From what i'm seeing, Anime Town 2 is the hardest hit, while the region of Anime is getting a bit of spam too. This whole thing is still illogical - why force a Nation to move out of a region? they're not affecting you at all if you're in a different region. why attack innocents while annoying your target at the same time?

Sounds like terrorism to me.
Reploid Productions

It's bullying, not terrorism. They aren't causing any real harm, but they are harassing you guys and going out of their way to make others miserable in order to get their kicks. Passwording for a few days and ignoring the twits will make the allure fade off. They do this sort of thing in order to get a reaction.

Granted, this will all be a moot point once one of the admin types acts on my request for a more permenant solution.

If I were forced to make a guess, I would say that this all began as a bunch of people trying to anger Planeswalkers and everyone in the region. After they discovered how much fun it was to anger everyone, they moved on to other regions to bother others. At this point, I am begining to wonder if they would quit if Planeswalkers complied with their demands. Personally, I sincerely doubt that would happen, and the best course of action now would probably be to password protect all regions affected and wait until their IPs are banned permanantly.

Whoo, I am pleased to announce that the IPs of the offenders have been banned. Should they get around that, we do have further... enforcement... methods at our disposal.

Let us know if they come back!

I do not think any of the nations in any of the regions affected by this can thank you enough for stopping this menace once and for all. We are in your debt. Thank you very much.
