What is the forum policy on posting false quotes and attributing them to other members in an attempt to defame them?

Shhhhhh....!!! I think it's fantastic! Games like this are all about playing dirty, and, besides, if someone REALLY wants to check, he can go to a person's posting history.

Strictly illegal. Deliberately misquoting another player is a warnable offense.

In that context, he's hardly misquoting you in an attempt to prove his point to others... it's parody, which happens all the time and anyone with marginal motor control can scroll up and see that's not what you really said.
Parody and paraphrasing does not necessarily equal defamation. That being said, I'll ask him to stop, but I don't think this calls for an official warning.

So if it is right there in the TOS, one can still get away with it if you agree with them? That crap.

player Voyeurism (sp?) on the "why is evolution taught but not creationism" thread in general is deliberately misquoting Demipublicents.
