Look, this might not be the best idea but im speaking out for a pretty large percentage of NS. Ive heard of a lot of people bring this point up, but none of them have the balls to raise this issue.

Myrth is strangling NS with an 'iron gauntlet', and theres no reason for it! There is absolutely no reason that Myrth is enforcing rules on NS soo harshly, its really not necessary. Its almost kind of sad and geeky (im not trying to be offensive, but its true) the fanatism of myrth in using his power.

I know that i have a bad reputation (those of you who still even remember me) but im saying right now that myrth is turning this site into a bland and boring political game. Without a little variety and spice in this site, it loses all its specialness that other sites lack.

ofcourse i dont expect the mods to turn this into a way too lienient site, because the mods do a good job in preventing many badd things - goatse, porn, etc... but cmon, word games? ask a threads? fun, harmless spam??

ofcourse, it gets annoying in quantity, but why not just regulate it, instead of full banning? im getting kind of off the point...

Calling all mods, you guys need to regulate myrth because in many peoples opinions he is getting disgustingly fascist, unfair, and power hungry. plz...

Im not talking about a bunch of lunatics typing their heads off, im talking about fun stuff- the kind of shit thats been around on NS for ages. One of the bad things about the move to JOLT was that now you mods are trying to integrate us into it too much. I play and talk NS, not the stupidity some call JOLT spam forum.

but you didnt delete word games or chat threads before the move to JOLT, and you didnt delete all the funny threads that are now shamelessly deleted.

i dont consider it spam, i consider it comedy, parody, and fun. and you didnt consider it spam either, what made you change your mind? and if i remember correctly, you (TGH) were cool at one point- what changed?

I was actually hoping that we could get a lot of the old users back. TAR and Mutant Dogs would be a good start if I can bitch em to come back. A lot of the SSA posters coming back would be good.

Myrth, you see you get a whole thread dedicated to you!

It's been a while since I had my own hate thread, I was beginning to think I wasn't doing a good enough job for one :(

First and foremost, a forum thread on the way Myrth does his moderator business isn't going to help your cause; if you really want to file a solid complaint, gather up some strong evidence, and e-mail admin@nationstates.net.

However, since most of the nations that have been complaining about Myrth because they've (1) been deleted by him, (2) had warnings issued by him, or (3) created spam threads that he's cracked down on, I highly doubt your complaint is going to be impartial.

Not been on the forums very long then, eh? ;)

We need more proposal deletions, nation deated, threads moved to "spam" and UN nations ejected.

Myrth does need to lighten up a bit. And him not taking this seriously at all isnt helping. I agree that outright spam can ruin the quality of the forum, and flames and trolls should be outlawed, but why not lighten up a bit with some spam light. And about moving all the "spam" threads to the Jolt spam forum, we dont like those people. We are totally against integrating with the Jolt spammers. They are even more spammier for our tastes. Leave NS to NS and Jolt to Jolt. Weren't we assured once upon a time that the two communities would be kept totally seperate? By becoming stricter, NS is losing it's charm. Was NS really that bad before you started cracking down harder about a month or so before the Jolt move? NS wasn't a complete spamfest. It had a bit of spam, but it was regulated well. Can't we have that back again? Why fix something that isnt broken?

There's nothing to take serious about this "complaint," because it isn't going through the proper channels nor is it at all conclusive with evidence or anything that could actually question Myrth's behavior here.

Spam is spam is spam; they have a forum - use it or don't post here, it's that simple. Most of us loathe General now because all it is spam topics like chat threads, "do you masturbate a lot," or other topics that are stupid, pointless, and to most of us, not fun at all for the rest of us.

I've posted more in General lately because of these so-called crackdowns and what-not, because this is a political simulation game and hence General was suppose to be a place to discuss things out of a game, not merely spam for the hell of it or even just chat. That's what AIM is for, besides, you and countless others have created off-site forums and the like, why not just post there and leave NS out of your game of attention-seeking?

First, Myrth is probably the most light hearted mod we have.

Second, People can insult any religion or non-religion they wish. What they may not do is flame a poster in a personal way. Religion, politics, abortion, gay issues...etc. all are fair game.

Myrth as the rest of the mods are extremely fair people, that is why we are mods. If we weren't we wouldn't be a mod for very long. Just because you get a ruling that doesn't agree with your personal point of view, that doesn't mean it wasn't fair.

Quadrocycle - You obviously haven't been around very long. I can't think of a mod on the squad who hasn't been accused of being unfair in one way or another. Again, I restate, just because you or others may disagree with a mods decision, it doesn't mean it wasn't fair!
