Plea to keep the "Ask the..." threads

As far as I'm aware, there is no mod ruling on the "Ask a..." threads. So long as they don't degenerate into flaming or whatnot, I personally don't see any problems. Have one of the other mods commented about these threads?

Hmm, I recall an "ask Lenin" thread that got locked, and the same player started an "ask Castro" thread which got immediately locked and had him deleted, but that was ages ago and my memory may be fuzzy on some important details (level of flaming etc).

They're incredibly spammy, but I figure it's another one of those General trends that'll die out in a day or so.
