That kind of sterotyping of muslims is exactly what we dont need, especially on 9/11. I have many muslim friends and none of them are planning to run of to join hamas or belive the isreal had anything to do with beslan. If that thread goes unquestioned then it just sends out the message the racial and religious sterotyping is seen as exceptable on this site

I have only briefly skimmed the first 40 posts of the topic, but "Joey P", the topic author, has been actively trying to debate his point-of-view since he started the topic.

We do allow political discussions in "General", and this is inevitably going to include controversial points-of-view. If you disagree, then either ignore the topic or debate in the topic. If particupants start throwing personal abuse at each other, then we will consider a topic lock.

If he were to post multiple topics on controversial matters and didn't attempt to debate, then I would suspect him of trolling. However, that doesn't appear to be the case here.

I will reiterate that I have not completely reviewed the topic, so I may have missed an incidence of personal abuse against NationStates players. If you see it, then please provide a link to the post itself OR give me the post number (not the page number, but the post number; page numbers depend on the readers forum settings).

I would be delighted if a moderator would look at the following two posts, the first by the aforementioned Joey P, the second by myself in response to Joey P.

Now.. I have stood by and watched while people continuously made a mockery out of Islam, a religion a significant portion of the users of this forum happen to follow, and I have done nothing.

Seeing the amount of ignorance in this topic, I decided to intervene, and I disporved, along with tens of other unbiased individuals, the arguments provided by these posters who are looking only to offend Muslims.

But that first post is going too far. It has stepped over a sacred line, and is considered a direct insult on myself and tens of other individuals, even non-Muslim readers of the topic.

I've tried to respond with the utmost civility.. I have not attacked any person's beliefs directly or insulted or flamed anyone. Thus, I kindly request the mods review Joey P's discriminatory posts and take appropriate action.

I just want to say that I had a family member killed in the 9/11 attack and I want to say that what Joey is saying is completely uncalled for.

exactly, what he says is nothing short of racist "When will they wake up and realize that they are viewed as terrorists for a reason". Something like that is a slur on most of the people who play this game

We allow a great deal of leeway in discussions about religions and cultures. The line is only drawn at personal attacks against NationStates players, and I didn't see that in the posts you linked. We have worse things than that said about George Bush every day.
