Moderators on the Index page

Probably a technical question, but it's appropriate here ...
At the bottom of each Index of Topics page, there is a list of Moderators for that page. NS pages have the following:Moderators: 3
Menelmacar, Katganistan, Unfree People Now Kat and UP I can understand, as they are new mods created under Jolt. What I don't get is why Melenmacar is listed there, but not the other NS mods from the old Forums. Seems to me that were a Jolt admin to remove, then re-grant, Mod powers to the other 15 or 16; then we would have an accurate list of actual NS mods.
The obvious benefit would be for those annoying n00bs who ask, "By what right do YOU tell me what to do here?" There may be other benefits.
Thoughts?

We're... ah... trying to figure that out right now, in fact.

Most of the NationStates Moderators who were brought in were originally assigned as SuperModerators on the Jolt system, myself included. We were beta testing the NS forums on the Jolt system prior to the migration, and this was, apparently, the easiest way to allow us to do that.
"SuperModerator" status means we technically have the power to moderate on the entire Jolt system, though we follow a policy of "we leave their boards alone, they leave our boards alone". This has, largely, worked well, so the Jolt Administrators have seen no pressing need to change these forum permissions. It also means that we don't appear at the "Moderators" list at the bottom; there's no need to list SuperModerators on every single board in the system.
Menelmacar, for some reason, wasn't given Moderator powers at that time. When she was eventually added, she was given Moderator powers local to the NationStates boards, not global to the entire Jolt system. Katganistan and Unfree People were also given local Moderator powers. That's why those three appear at the bottom as NS Mods, but noone else.

I noticed the change as well ...

;) This does mean, of course, that just because you don't see Menelmacar, Unfree People or me doesn't mean there are no Mods online.... ;)

Hmm, maybe. I have powers over all of Jolt but the names might show up because we were added later.

You may have powers, but the older mods have SUPERpowers!
(I saw Cogitation levitating the Londinivm (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1249) forum with his bare mind, from over 100 yards away. I swear it!)

Mmmmm, SuperModerators.....I can hear the faint cackling laughter carrying over the dry winds. Doom and despair loom ahead. Beware, for they are EVERYWHERE.

Is there a list of the mods and their assignments anywhere in the faq or in a sticky? That might be nice.

Um... Myrth, nice job deleting the post, but I think you need to edit it out of the following one too... Kinda defeats the purpose. :)
Not really, seeing as moderators can read deleted posts anyway.

I've edited it out myself, seeing as if Mutant Dogs comment was deleted, and it's still shown, then there was no point for the deletion of Mutant Dogs post.
