i know you guy´s can turn quite nasty with people havin´offending content in their flags. so i want to make sure not to harm anyone before loading up my flag. due to a lack of inspiration and creativity i thought of using a cannabis-leaf.
i couldn´t find rules about that anywhere (and, yes i searched... ;)). so, whats your opinion about that? and for that matter we could just make the whole sector clear: what´s about any other drug-related contend? not that i thought of making a TRY-LSD flag, but anyone else might...

I dont know if the flag would be illegal, I personally wouldnt make it,
especially if it says Try LSD, although your Flag could become a
"Gateway Flag" to Harder Flags like a Try Crack flag, or a Try Heroin Flag.
I wouldnt make those either.

although I do see it becoming a problem if A lot of folks started maeking Druggy flags.

Cannabis-leaf flags are already in use, they're out there. I've seen some.

I never heard of a rule stating it would be illegal to have a cannabis leaf on a flag.

the try LSD thing was more a joke or an exaggeration. but with the dope-leaf i was serious. i´d allow it - but let the mod´s decide...

however, if any of this should be banned, i demand that this will be added to the flag-faq.

Cannabis Leafs are fine.

What can't I post?

Any content that is:

* obscene
* illegal
* threatening
* malicious
* defamatory
* spam

For now, I would suggest you do not use it seeing as LSD is illegal in most countries. Expect me to be overruled by either a Game Mod or Admin if I'm wrong.

While using and selling LSD is illeagal in most countries, the phrase 'try LSD' is for the most part legal.

Eh. I wouldn't delete a flag that had a pot leaf or some blotter paper on it.

seriously, i wouldn´t dare making a crack-, cocain-, xtc-flag or some crap like that. but i see a significant difference between that and cannabis... c´mon, am i the only one? ;)

No, cannabis is very different from those, and is allowed, as it is legal in some American States and some countries. Just don't make it obscene, etc, like on Myrth's list.

it is Illegal recreationally, but Medicinally it is Hunky Dorey.
Personally I think it a waste of dirt, as it ruined several of my friends lives.

Yeah, but the game is based outside the United States, therefore, US laws wouldn't hold muchvalue here.

Whether the drug is legal or not, the image is most certainly legal. You can wear a t-shirt or publish an advocacy advert any time you wish.

This is not the case of the swastika in certain countries, so it's an entirely different issue there.

I have a t-shirt saying "I am Canadian, please shoot me". Wearing that shirt is legal, but please don't shoot me http://www.mig81.com/carinthe/images/smiles/57.gif

Yeah. I'll do so.

Look. Keep it reasonable. Keep it within the laws that appear to apply, don't make it obscene or offensive, and you're fine. There are no laws that I know of forbidding the portrayal of drugs, and I don't see that as being obscene or offensive either.

Didn't SCOTUS rule otherwise?

IF not, Nevada and Alaska are in trouble.

Marijuana as medicine is not legal and it's decriminalized in a few states. A town in Maine made it completely legal and the DEA cared so little about it, that nothing happened. I wonder if it is still legal there.

There are other symbols that may be illegal in other countries as well.

I collect 1:18 scale aircraft and armor (tanks, not personal stuff) models. A company that makes absolutely great stuff can not put on accurate paint details for the American Volunteer Group (AVG) P-40s that flew in China against the Japanese, because at the time, the AVG used the symbol of the Republic of China, a blue circle with a white sun / star, but today the toys are manufactored in the People's Republic of China, where that particular symbol is certainly not appreciated, if not illegal.

Even though the product was being made for shipment to North America and Europe, having a worker paint the symbol was bad enough that the company just painted blue circles.

Now when the toys are shipped across the Pacific, they have a set of stickers inserted into the boxes in the U.S.

While I think the pot flag should stay, I can actually see that in a country like Saudi Arabia, that spending too much time on an international web page with a bunch of canibus (sp?) images certainly is not going to help you earn the respect of your peers.

I thought this was a Euphoric world where we could make our own rules and regulations. if this is going to be based on a legal system that have been around since Slavery times and constantly added and molded to oppress and subject some to harsher penalties that others, I object.

In a special event which we intend to make a monthly tradition, we are constructing a giant bong in each city, town and village square in the Free Lands of Anro. Each Anrobong will be filled with the very finest recreational herbs in the world, a thousand pipes will be connected and handed around like drunk sluts at a filthy capitalists' fraternity party.

It will be beautiful and serene. :fluffle: :p :D :confused: :) :eek:

We did put to the vote the idea of the noble marijuana leaf's incorporation into our own flag. However, after much impirical research, not enough people cared about the idea, or indeed any other idea (other than what toppings to order on their pizza), for a consensus to be reached.

At least I think that's what happened. It's all a bit of a blur now...
