We are a nation located in the eastern region of the region of africa.

We have been surprised today to see our UN DELEGATE ceased to exist.

the reason for his explusion said some thing like this: "Hein was ejected from the UN for rule violations"

As part of voted envoy of the african union we wish for an explanation of this and why a nation like hein who was an active and productive member in our region has been expelled.

we are not challanging any UN action we just need an explanation of what happend.

First, you might want to direct this post to the Moderation forum.

Now if I had to guess, I'd say that the rule in violation may have been getting identified as a multi-UN nation. Sometimes if you log into your nation at a school's computer, and if another player comes in and uses that same computer, you can get nailed for having multiple UN states. While you may not really have them and follow the rules, the program used to check for this only knows that there are multiple UN countries using the same IP address ... and they'll get kicked out of the UN.

There could be many other reasons, but I hope you guys can work this out, as though I've had only a little bit of contact with the African nations, I actually appreciate your governments and look forward to seeing your nations more frequently.

Hmmm ... I would think U.N. Multi - ing is most likely ... it is the usual reason for the loss of U.N. member-ship, and because of this, your Delegate having lost their Delegate status.

I will go and see if one of the Moderation Staff is in the mIRC N.S. Moderation channel and ask them to be aware of this thread for you.

Normally I, as a player, would consider Moderation Forum the best place for this, as there you are more likely to get the response from the Moderation staff you want.

or bad proposal, or kicking too many folks out the region...
could be several reasons, best to wait for a mod to tell, they can look it up ;)

For the record, I am not the Moderator who handled this case. However, according to the official notation recorded by the Moderator involved, "Hein" was a UN multi and also created an offensive puppet nation. Thus, he was ejected from the UN and deleted.

I also gently remind everyone that only a Moderator can answer the question "Why was official action taken against so-and-so?" Thank you.

Thank for your kind words. We in Africa love playing nationstates and Hein was a very active player. That is why its disappearance has been something of a shock to me at least. But if he broke the rules then it is explained. One more thing is the IP of HEIN multi nation blocked ? I ask because I want to know if he can create another nation to continue playing.
Thank you again .

Don't worry. Moderators never IP ban someone for Multying, unless that person does more than that. Hein will soon be back in Africa, with yet another UN nation ;)

Almost correct.

If a player committs many, many violations and has had many nations deleted, then we will declare that player banned from NationStates. If an IP ban is feasible, then we'll use an IP ban. Otherwise, we'll just delete any reincarnations that show up, regardless of whether or not the most recent incarnation has broken any rules. This is known as "Delete On Sight" or "DOS".

"Hein" has not reached this point.

I should have been a little clearer when I said "Almost correct".

By "almost", I intended to point out this very thing "Crazy Girl" mentioned: That a whole lot of multying can get you permanently banned. Actually, a whole lot of violations (it doesn't have to eb just multying, but it could) will get you permanently banned.

Oh well, in that case I'll better resign my 70 puppets from the UN. I knew that was a mistake :p :D

I dont want to fill that we are asking to much,

but can any moderator check if hein could be back

for example check on his account and see if he is banned forever.

or temporary,or just if he could resign up now.

From what I understand (though Cogitation may correct me on this) Hein and the puppet that were deleted for rulebreaking will not be reinstated; however, the player may start a new nation.

BUT......... can he have his old name attached to his new nation

for example: be called hein with the same every thing just new

like if a nation ceases to exist

they can return with their old name

with almost everything the same.

If a nation ceases to exist for inactivity and is resurrected, they can be reinstated and they will exist as they did prior to their ceasing to exist.

However, if a nation is deleted for rule violations, it will generally not be brought back and the only recourse the player has is to create a brand new nation. The game doesn't flag (maybe the mods do, but I couldn't tell you that) a new nation that was created by a rulebreaker as different from any new nation.

No. Hein will not be able to reuse the identical name on the new nation.
