Question

Hey mods, I am making a storefront with DPUO and have run into some problems. We have hosted our storefront on freewebs but it has become a hassle so we've moved it to the forums. While DPUO has always posted his stuff on the forums. I have posted directly to the site and havent on the boards. Because of this I have used links to the threads he made to show the products instead of just posting a larne ammount of info right there. This will keep the sorefront thread smaller. What I want to do is make some threads, 6 in total, and close them. They will just be used for the storfront and will dissapear from the front page in about 20 mins. This could be considered spam and dont want to do it unless I talked to you first.

It does sound rather spammish to me. What exactly would be the problem with putting all your posts into one thread? You can give links to seperate posts in the same thread, you know, if that's the problem.

The question was also posed here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=351443) about a similiar situation not involving storefronts, but with flooding II with treads along similiar lines... and no conclusion was ever reached there, either.

See I have a very limited knowledge in HTML and dont really know how to link to a specific thread (how do you anyway?)

The reason I dont put them all in one thread is that I dont want a mile lone post. It would take forever to find what you want and look unprofessional.

I wouldn't be so sure about unprofessional... some of the mod's posts in the stickies are HUGE...

Click on the little number in the top right of the posts - #1, #2, etc, and it'll give you a nice little link to the individual post in the thread. That way you really have no need to make different threads if you're linking the posts.
