Ruining what, exactly? Those threads turn into RAWR I'M HUGE within five posts and yelling after six. All of them.

'All threads of this type invariably end up as flaming' seems a good enough reason to me. Also, there isn't actually a final answer because NS is subdivided into poster groups who tend to RP among themselves. There is no real 'most powerful nation' because at any given time a large portion of the forum doesn't acknowledge any given RPer's existence.

Clearly this is abuse of power.

We all know that the Mods have no purpose other than the screwing of us poor nations. How long must we labor under their oppressive regime? It is time for us to rise up and dipose these tyrannical oppressors!

Finally, I have the last piece of evidence I need to have all these mods drug out into the street and shot!

Well? Am I going to get banned or deleted or something?That'd be great, wouldn't it? You'd get to feel all oppressed and stuff. So I suspect they're probably going to leave you alone just to upset you. Those mods, they're wrong 'uns I tell you.:D

Don't get annoyed with the mods over a thread locking. Chances are, if they closed the thread, it needed to be closed, for one of the following reasons:

1) It was likely to become very hostile, as stated above.
2) There are duplicate threads already in action, which you could have used.
3) It was a technical discussion and all questions were answered.
4) It was pointless.
5) It was in violation of the stickied rules, which probably means you also got a warning.

If they do it, just shut up and don't argue. We hear about it way too much lately...

Perhaps a link to this thread will help people make up their minds, though I'm sure GMC had a good reason to lock it, and remember GMC got to mod status because GMC can recognise problems from a distance and make decisions on the spot.
