We lost our Region's founder (Earth Orbit region) about 20 days ago. I was wondering if you could establish another founder so we could update the region factbook...Thank you for your time

The UN delegate will gain power to Regional Controls when the founder ceases.

Not to mention that the mods only put in a Founder in extraordinary circumstances; if your Founder just died of inactivity or rule violations, it doesn't look very circumstancial.

We lost our Region's founder (Earth Orbit region)...
Can't y'all just shift orbit to one of the Lagrange points (http://www-istp.gsfc.nasa.gov/stargaze/Slagrng2.htm) and let your old region decay and burn up in atmosphere? Then you could refound at will.
I just checked. Both Lagrange 4 and 5 are empty. Think your thrusters are up to the task?

They generally only instate a new founder after your region has been invaded, locked, etc., and it is clear that a founder is needed to undo all that so they don't have to - such as was the case with me. :)

Not just any region, but large regions that have been around for ALONG time and thousands of players know about.
Even then, the mods may put themselves in to sort out the problems you stated Hersfold. The 'Hell' region incendent is an example of mods putting themselves there then removing themselves. (Neut did it)

The mods just don't go around putting Founders into place; there's a lot of thought and consultation about it, and it usually doesn't just happen when asked, because there has to be very, very circumstancial evidence that it's for the benefit of all parties to instate a new Founder.

Oh ok, didn't know. I mean, I read the sticky, but didn't get much out of it... We are only 3 nations, with none liking the UN enough to join... its only me and 2 friends...

So take my prior advice (five posts earlier) and refound. Regions don't benefit from longevity. Pick a day, password the oldregion, and move somewhere else until after update. As long as you don't attract one of the vultures that sometimes sneak in and refound empty regions*, you're golden.

Region hawking, Fris... I do it - didn't coin it - , but I'll steer clear of this one.
