It is no worse than a hammer and sickle, and if powdia or any other nation is kicked out because of this then it just proves that nationstates is no democracy, where people can express thier views freely, but a big phoney game that is not fair, but a big sham!
i thought you could create a nation with "warped" views, explain that to me.

Because the author and admins are responsible for the site, it's at best a benevolent dictatorship. They do have to cover their own asses after all. lol

The fact that having one on your flag is expressly against the rules of the site as laid down by the owner of the site.

Whatever lead you to believe that NS was a democracy? A benevolent dictatorship at best: you agreed to the terms and conditions when you created a nation here.

It is perfectly within the rules to create a nation with 'warped' views, provided those views or the way they are expressed do not break any other of the rules.

You are right and wrong. A Nazi swastika, the reversed one, is wrong for all the obvious reasons. An original swastika, a non-reversed one, is perfectly acceptable - unfortunately, since most people have no idea which is which, it's safer to simply leave it out.
And the hammer and sickle was never the symbol for an evil ideal. The hammer and sickle represents the joining together of the agricultural and industrial proletariates (sp?). The Nazi swastika was designed, probably intentionally, to pervert the meaning of the original. The original is a symbol of peace, but the Nazis wouldn't want a symbol from a non-Aryan religion now, would they?

The answer is much easier. This site is from Max Barry, and he doesn't want it as nation's flags, in the game. Period!
