My region, Area 51, has been continually harrassed, by one "Rod Smart", who invades our region, and cusses us out, and generally makes an ass of himself. He has continually used unnacceptable language in a public forum that is supposed to be child-friendly, along with verbally assaulting many members of our region.

AND YOU REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING! In fact, when our regional founder complained, you deleted her nation.

SO WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!? HUH!? Is it the victims fault in any case of abuse? And that's what this is, make no mistake! Continued, unprovoked, despite our requests for him to stop. You have an obligation to prevent, or at least end the behavior.

So instead of deleting a criminal, you deleted a good, fair person, and one who deserves recognition for her continuing, unswerving help of other nations. She helped to prevent region-crashers from taking dozens of regions in the early years of the game.

So, do something about Rod Smart. Now.

I feel sorry for Labrador too. This is not the first time when somebody becomes driven mad, and consequently gets deleted by the mods. Happened to me too. Get used to it. The mods have no time to wonder why something happened.

Ok, first of all, I know nothing about this situation in Area 51..

Second, it also has nothing to do with why Labrador was deleted. Labrador was deleted for flaming on the forums in General. Her nation had been tagged several times for such behaviour and her luck ran out.

That is why she was deleted. Had nothing to do with regional politics.

I am also a liberal, I share most of her political views. However, she broke the rule of flaming people too often and you know that is cause for deletion. That's all it was about.

That's what the Conservatives complain about everytime one of them are deleted... which is pretty frequent.

Do you have any idea how many chances Labrador received? There have been numerous on-forum warnings, numerous Mod Centre warnings, direct personal warnings from Mods, I believe Labrador has even received temporary forum bans for her actions. Labrador was given more "second" chances than any other player, except, maybe, Sheol. I am aware of several "final" chances being handed out.

On June 24th, 2004 Labrador was given a final, final warning. In fact, the Mod Centre records it as: "Warned: SEVERE WARNING - Forum flaming beginning at <link to thread from old forum> DELETE ON NEXT OFFENESE. (24 June 2004, 11:43 PM EST)"

Seriously, how many second chances do we need to hand out before a player is deleted? Are you truly arguing for equal application of the rules? If that's the case, Labrador should have been deleted some time in April or May of last year.

I don't care about politics at all. I just help somebody out who's nation is deleted. I really don't care why. I hardily don't post in "General", because it's a dangerous place full of spammers, flamebaiters and flamers. While a person tries to avoid all those things, you also have the mods looking over your shoulders. What I don't understand is why you didn't give Labrador a permanent IP forumban, like the mods did to me. I personally believe too, that Labrador's problems are completely forum related.
All I see is that someone got deleted, who got harassed by certain players, and I have experience in that case. I can do that perfectly well without mod intervenience. I also offered Sythia a helping hand, (I am not biased) but Sythia was beyond help. There is not much I can do for players, but I know how it feels when your favourite nation is deleted. There is not much I can do for players, but I know how it feels when your favourite nation is deleted. In my case I lost a region of 375 nations in it. As I recall, Sythia was banned from NationStates for extensive forum flaming.

Ur, that's only the tip of the iceberg, Coggy =p Sythia got slapped with a DOS order for flaming, spamming, and mostly repeatedly griefing regions with puppets. I don't doubt he's lurking around somewhere right now, but we'll get him eventually. He tends to gloat ;)

If that is so...then WHY, after two years, does not the guy who has repeatedly griefed Labrador, and Area 51 get hit with a "DOS order" whatever that is? don't know if y'all realize it, but this guy is STILL greifing Area Fifty One.
