The prominent members in my region have chosen to put a common symbol on our flags, and I was wondering as this is our favourite if you could just check to see if it can be used, as it looks a little like a reverse swastika.

I know that the swastika and the reverse version of it are both banned, and your design does fit a grey area. There might be one MOD that may decide that it contravenes the no swastika rule.

Eh, it's a bit grey, but I'm betting on a ruling to keep it.

GM? Hell, I've got no idea on this one. Maybe one of the GM's will know, but I'm going to bump this one up a level.

My unofficial opinion is that it will be ruled illegal as a stylized swastika as opposed to a different symbol, but I could be wrong.

My best guess is that it is a Japanese-Ninja-Throwing-Thingy, unless it is just a made up symbol. I've checked my history over the last week but I can't find the site it originally came from.

Its no problem if we can't put it on our flags, just the second choice regional-symbol looks a lot less cool. I understand the reasoning behind the swastika rule and agree with it 100%, I just didn't know if this symbol fitted the swastika bill or not.

It's similar to a swastika, but not similar enough. For me, at least, it doesn't jump out and say, "I'm a swastika variation!" So it's OK.

Nope. His title says "NationStates Moderator Team". That means he's an extension of the collective consciousness of the entire NationStates Moderator Team; better than any Game Mod and he suffices for any purpose that requires a single Game Mod.

Thanks. Overused images get stale fast. :)

Oh, and only use it in situations where you're fairly sure that the recipient is going to laugh with you (as opposed to blowing up at you and doing something banworthy). You don't want to trigger a flamewar. Thanks.
