The paradise thread was just deleted. I lost 4 posts, but I see Cuneo Island went from 6000 something to 5,960.

I don't usually handle the locks on the very large threads, so I'm not familiar with the policy. So, I'll have to defer this question to a Moderator who usually handles these things.

You lot, be patient, the mods have lives and we do nothing to make it easy for them to go about them. ;)

It had passed the 65 page limit. I deleted instead of locking because that's what I've always done with such threads.

I thought the limit was gonna go once we'd moved to jolt.

What surprises me is why chat threads like this haven't been moved to the Jolt spam forum like the Jolt Summer Ball was... :headbang:

*pops in while at work*

Okay, at the moment, we're in a bit of a grey area with the 65 page cap thing. It was originally one of our many attempts at bailing out the old server. Obviously, we're no longer on said old server, but the policy has yet to be revised. (It's one of many, many things on our post-Jolt to-do list :headbang: )

I'll bring this up with the rest of the squad and see if we can't get that policy cleared up one way or the other within a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks Reppy, you'll get there eventually...on the playing end of Ns it feels kinda sad that the Jolt Ball was moved and the Paradise Club wasn't...

...somewhere like the Club gets people together from all over NS just to chat and chill out. Continuity seems important...at an all night party like the one on Wednesday evening the pages just flip by...we shifted a huge amount in a short time - and there was some good stuff in it...

65 pages isn't enough

getting people together in a place where they can relax rather than debate helps to form a sense of belonging to NS - which is what a lot of people have commented on

that seems important to me. Maybe i'm alone in thinking this? Dunno...

The new forum system allows us to "effectively delete" posts or threads, which does the following:

keeps the thread in its forum,
locks the thread, and
hides the thread from public view.

If we so choose, we can undelete such a post or topic.

We can also "physically delete" a post or topic, which truly deletes it.
