Hello,

I've been noticing a large number of new nations in the UN forum (which is good). And some of these nations are eager to submit new proposals. The problem is that some of the proposals look very similar to existing UN resolutions (minor differences).

While the UN stickies are pretty clear in my mind:


8. Copied Proposals
There's no point in submitting a proposal that has already been made a resolution. So don't do it.


I wasn't sure if this means a direct copy or just something similar. In any event, I'm convinced UN newbies are not reading the UN sticky notes nor the prior UN resolutions.

You guys will hate this, but maybe the general FAQ for the game should mention the Jolt forums by name and encourage newbies to read the stickies.

Good Idea. I know for a fact that when I was a young, I never read the stickies. Oh, and dont be fooled by the joined date of my nation, I am older than that.

When I first started NS, before I dived into the forums, I went through the FAQ and the stickies... I'm just a "nerd" like that, because I do that in RL before I play games, too.

Perhaps, we can go further than just putting the information such as Mik suggests into the Admin telegram that gets sent out automatically at nation creation.

Just add a link to the forums and to the FAQ for nations who aren't as OCD about rules like me.
