Password-Protection On *Threat* of Invasion OK?
I would like to clarify a rule, if a moderator would be so kind as to answer this.
May a regional delegate, of a region that has not yet been invaded but is being threatened with invasion, password-protect the region (at least for a few days) without having to give the password to all the nations in the region?
The region in question is large enough that it would be prohibitively difficult to send out the password to all nations within the region, in a short time.
Again, we have seen other threads but the issue is different. The regional delegate has been delegate for 6 months plus, the region has not been invaded, and the vast majority (if not all) of the endorsements are from regions which are "native" in the sense that they've been active members of the region for months or years.
Thank you.

Wether there is a threat makes no difference. The delegate is a native, and his endorsees too, so paswording doesn't require a threat.

That is what I thought. However, the other thread involved some extraneous facts (I.E., Unelion might be a defender, I don't know I haven't been closely following the NP stuff)
We wanted to be very specific.
well, I saw I was mentioned so...
I am Native, and before the invasion I was dlegate for a month, whit only Native endorsments, but when we got invaded i was ejected, and now many of my endorsments comes from defenders, that beacse the invaders moved forcec to the region. That is the diference, in my case, i am not sure if the Mods would see me as a native, even if the region does

If "many" means "most" you are a defender and thus you must abide by the invaders/defenders rules.
Thank you for hijacking this thread. I mentioned you, Unelion, only because we did NOT want to be lumped in. FWIW, you're probably in the right too.
However, there's no question that our region hasn't been invaded, and that the delegate and the endorsees are all native and most of them have been native for at least as long as I've been there (Feb. 2003) if not longer.

If you've been residing in the region that long with plans to stay longer (and you're not a spy working for anyone else), then you're a native.
If "many" means "most" you are a defender and thus you must abide by the invaders/defenders rules.
Not exactly correct. Please see my post [here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=6674314)].
Also remember that anyone may permanently ban a non-native from the region.

don't think you really need a reason to password your region, and as a native delegate, you don't have to send out the password to everyone, as far as i know.

Correct on both counts.
