As you can see a few posts down, Whittier goes on a flaming spree. Now, he will more than likely say that someone else had used his account to do this, so you mods might want to do an IP check.

I was talking with whoever was on as his yahoo name about 30-40 minutes ago. His friend is on. He said Whittier was allowing him to use his computer and he was on surfing the forums as Whittier's account.

Well I don't know if you could call him a friend, he swore and seemed vulgar. And he said Whittier liked swearing. Hardly sounds like Whittier to me.

It's intriguing because "Whittier" has posted some very un-Whittierlike responses, both seemingly IC and OOC.

But still, thanks for posting something about it AMF.

But you can never know for sure.

For example, a common tactic used on NS is to spam the boards then claim you were drunk the next day. Hence why the mods made a rule about that. Something along the lines of how you're responsible for your nation no matter if someone else is using it, you're wasted, etc.

If I had message logging turned on for Yahoo I'd pull up the archives and that'd be that. But alas, I don't have them turned on.

I already deleted him. I've been down this road before with him. He pushes and pushes and then claims it wasn't him, well it's happened once too often, I don't believe him. Further, even if by some odd chance it was true, he should take better care of his account. No one is getting into his account unless he's letting them.

I'm fed up with his games.

That's a very good point. The rule with your NS account (or any Internet account) should be that if it has your name on it, it reflects upon you whether you were drunk or sober or whether it was you or someone else posing as you.

Because if there was indeed another user on his screen name he might not be on the same computer. Alot of time people claim that when they log into their nation at school (for example) that they forget to log out and other people in turn get on and spam the forums. It's a lame excuse.

I work 12 hours shifts unlike you. I have a job.
Yes it was the same computer but I was logged out of my account.
But what happens is when you go from the NS page without being logged into your nation or puppet, to the Jolt forum, it automatically logs you in.
I unchecked the remember password part, yet it still happens. And that is how this happened.
So know I did not stay logged into my account.

Excuse me sir, but between two jobs I work between 50 and 60 hours a week. I work my ass off for 9 to 10 hours a day, then on Wed. and Friday immediatly after I finish my shift at 5 I go back to work until 11pm. Then on weekends I referee paintball from noon until sometimes 10pm.

Don't throw your work schedule in my face and act like I'm supposed to be impressed.

Yes, I make time for SOCOM and NationStates, mostly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and in the evening on weekends.

Reprographics is blueprinting (paper and electronic plotting), but my job is alot more than that. My department is also the shipping and IT deapartment, hence why I'm sometimes on NS during the day.

Ah, I see. The only times I can get on is during the morning while I'm eating breakfast, and during lunch. And in the evening when when I am off.
How big is your company?

There's over 60 people in our headquarters alone, and we do work all across the US. We also have TONS of superintendents, contractors, sub-contractors, and the like on staff.

Well, I'm not appealling this cause I did let him use my computer and I should have brought up the thing about the log out earlier.
Though I wonder if they made this a permanent ban or a temporary ban.
Maybe they could at least look into the security problem I mentioned.
I check the box to tell it not to remember me or auto log me in. But it does it anyway even when I'm not logged into my nation.

I am going back to my unit in a week. Back to normal hours, 5 am to 4 pm. Or longer if the commander or SGT Major decides they need to keep us longer cause some people slack off and wait for someone else to do their jobs.
