Integrity!

In today's world, where employees are treated with all the respect of an interchangeable commodity, it is nice to see that some people still value those that toil on their behalf.

For over a year, Hubris the Hamster toiled relelentlesly on our behalf as he diligently spun the wheel to keep the old forum server running. Sure, sometimes he needed to pause for food, or drink, or - well - a hamster has to use those woodchips sometimes! But day in and day out he was there. Spinning his little wheel to keep our conversations going.

When it was time to move the servers, I am thrilled to have discovered that it seems that Hubris made the move too! Indeed, while some have suggested it was Hubris' poor performance tha led to the move, in fact it was a purely humanitarian action. You see, it is not well known, but hamsters have been marginalized in the US for too long as the majority of the servers used guinea pigs! Toiling as a minority in the post 9-11 America was harsh for the hamster community. They were the outsiders. And Ridge had announced as part of Patriot III that all hamster kibble would be subject to on-demand search and seizure.

It took a week to get him through the rigid British Immigration procedures, hence the delay in getting the new server up and running, but Max took the time to get it done. IT would have been cheaper and easier to replace Hubris, but Max is not that kind of boss. He cares for his employes. The only real side effect has been that Hubris seems to have developed a pathological aversion to tiny latex gloves, but that is another story entirely.

Congratulations Max! I, for one, salute your personal integrity and unwavering support for those who have made you who you are today.

And I hope that Hubris finds life on the Isles to be to his liking.

Thank you Hubris - Please keep that wheel chugging just a little longer. I just hope you get past that jet lag soon and get the wheel back to the same standards to which we became accustomed.

:D
Hopes Hubris gets a wheel with a higher gear ratio so he won't have to run as hard :-)

However from this display, it looks like my friends were still understating it a bit
