I will be in California for the next couple weeks, and although I will be able to access NationStates because I'm bringing my laptop with me, I'm unsure whether it will be safe to conduct UN activities during this period. Although I will be accessing NationStates primarily through my grandmother's computer (which I know to be safe) for the first few days, after that I will probably be accessing NationStates through hotel and public-wireless Internet connections, although only from my own laptop. I know that the multiscan is fairly sophisticated, but is it sophisticated enought that it would be safe to log in to my UN nation from hotel or public-wireless Internet connections hooked up to my laptop?

I think you should be okay, especially going through a hotel. Also, if it's just through your laptop, I'm sure you'll be fine.
