A Warning I've recieved.

United Nations Intelligence Committee
Received: 8 hours ago This nation has been determined to be in breach of UN rules, which allow each player to have just one nation in the UN at any given time. This is an official warning, to allow you to rectify the situation. If you do not comply, the UN will be forced to take action against you.
This is probably in response to Corsairio Telegramming Abadan about being Hannukiah. I did that to give Abadan a shock, nothing more than a prank.
I assure you, IP wise and otherwise, that I only possess ONE UN nation.
Sincerely,
The Player of Hein, Corsairio, The Letter X, and Koholinth

This looks like a malicious prank to me. I don't believe that the UN has an Intelligence Commitee that sends warnings.
Looks more like if an opponent wants you to resign your membership to the UN.
It's been my experience that the mods simply eject a nation from the UN on the first multi offense. The mods also frown upon someone impersonating them.
If the TG came from a regular nation, it got DEATed because I can't find a nation called "United Nations Intelligence Committee". But if the TG came from a nation with no link, it was probably an official message from the UN cheatscan. I think there are some times when the mods send out a warning TG before they eject anyone, but I'm not too sure.
I guess you should file a Getting Help Page (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/-1/page=help) report. But remember to not delete the TG from your inbox.

I believe it's a prank, if you're ejected the NationStates Moderators will send you a message, not the UN Intelligence Committee.

Are you angry with me? :(
It is not a prank. Is it going to become SOP then? Or was this an exceptional case?

i know it wasnt a prank.
what im saying is that me saying to abadan that i was hannukiah was a prank. you see there was very recently a huge power switchover in Middle East, from an extremist Islam delegate to a democracy-loving jewish delegate. For a long time in Middle East my nation, Corsairio, has been despised and has pretty much been the reason for anything bad happening. except this. they have a slant towards me. so when i logged in as Corsairio and telegramed Abadan telling him that i was Hannukiah (the new jewish delegate), his slant automatically made him report me to the mods.
I only have one UN nation, and that is the letter X. However, now I have this newfound political clout that ostracizes Abadan as nothing more than a power hungry delegacy seeker, and he won't ever be re-elected again.
I wasn't griefing, just manipulating.

GM's were recently given a new button that sends a UN Warning, that reads just like the above posted telegram. For what it's worth, the UN Intelligence Committee is also the "sender" of the automatic telegram that nations receive when they're ejected from the UN or when you try to join the UN with a duplicate e-mail address.
Now, in regards to this specific case, this warning was sent because there is evidence of UN multi'ing, however it wasn't strong enough to warrent an immediate ejection. This is a rather blunt way of saying, "If you're breaking the rules knock it off now."
In otherwords, in a couple days, I'll look to see if there's any more evidence, and go from there.
Well, I guess you can learn something new everyday! :D
Thanks for the explanation, Hack.

Hmmm....can the mods now send UN ejection telegrams that refer to bad UN resolutions and not multying?

Hello? MODS.
What further action will you take in this matter now that I have explained my innocence beyond a reasonable doubt?

Hello? MODS.
Be patient. They're busy people with lives outside of NationStates.
What further action will you take in this matter now that I have explained my innocence beyond a reasonable doubt?
Unless the moderators personally meet you and those involved, there is no way your proof beyond reasonable doubt can be considered true, even if it is true as such.
It's just the way it is on the site, and if you look at previous cases here in the Moderation forum, you'll see this is the way it is here.

Unfortunately no. It still sends that stupid auto-telegram.

Well, considering that nothing besides being warned has happened, perhaps you should relax just a touch. As I stated earlier in this thread, I will review your case in a few days.
