Somebody sedate him.

Could be that someone hacked his account.

If not, then 9 (at last count) threads showing a dead cat could be his/her/its swan song.

Seems very unusual for SC, especially when he's still continuing an important RP with me...

I'm sure an IP check won't turn out to be his "origional one" since I know that he's in some university or something like that at the current moment. A whois to find out which network the IP is may be good.

Here's some facts - Before the spam, SC had not posted since June 4th. Prior to that, he was active, posting at least 5 times a day. June 4th and 17th is a two week gap. Perhaps his nation was hacked and he couldnt access it; perhaps he is unavailable and doesnt know hes been hacked; perhaps he's doing it.

He had told me that he's going to an university for some program or something for 15 days since that time period, so it isn't unusal for him to be inactive right now. But this...

Unless my memory completely fails me, this would be the second time he's flipped out like this. We let him off the hook after a temporary forum ban last time.

We zapped him with forum purge, brought him back, and forumbanned him because this appears to largely be a suicide-by-mod attempt.

And nothing unusual came up when I looked at the IPs, either.

Why do people pull this suicide by mod crap? Maybe I'm just too much of a jock, but this does not make sense to me. Why would a forum be so important to someone that they would try to "commit suicide?" When I decided that the general section was too full of stupidity and hatred for me to stand anymore, I just left; I didn't go on a tubgirl posting spree.

Well, it seems to be rooted in our psychology really. I mean, alot of the time people do something or try something which they know is wrong, only to see what happens or feel something.

For example, when some people feel they are about to die, some feel the sensation of fatality to things and carry out acts they normally would not in any other circumstances. Those acts.

Your friend in question may have had an emotional moment where they decided to simply do something and screw the consequence. Or, it could simply be a " eh, smite me, who cares ! " response. To something.

" Well, thats my pop psychology class for today, don't forget to turn in your papers and enjoy the break ... "

That's pretty decent pop psychology, if that's not too much of a contradiction in terms.

From the site where I once modded, I noticed that people tended to suicide at times when they were tired of acting on a "reasonable" level, and were looking for something that could provide more immediate gratification. By "flaming out", it was generally felt that some sort of statement regarding their independence and ability to say "f--k the rules!". I generally indulged them.

On the other hand, I wouldn't presume to have a take on the case in hand, as I don't know the party involved. Simply one perspective.
