i guess i was asleep... but what happened to fluffycat?
i wasn't an advocate of his views, but i didnt see him doing anything that was enough to get him deleted.
can anyone fill me in?

The moderators can't see who's on the other side. All they have is his IP adress, the e-mail on the nation, and the behaviour of the person. If if it barks like a dog, bites like a dog and behaves like a dog, it is probably a dog. Maybe it isn't, but they have no other way to verify it.
And if I remember correctly, Moderation has more then the humble IP scan to their Big Thing of Security Stuff. I faintly remember mention of ... four ( ? ) methods of finding out if a thing needs to be hit with a large stick, so to speak ... And I picked up it was slightly more accurate then email cross-checking, though I suspect that is a intergral part ...

There is that nifty little NETWORKS tool, in the modcenter too. All the mod has to do it click the IP, and it doesn't matter if it's dialup, or not :twisted:
