I think Gothic Kitty really, really wants to be a moderator. She posts so many replies in “Moderation” that she’s clearly trying to get attention. It’s rather sad in a way.

Think about it - why would anyone want to be a moderator? You have to spend so much time in NationStates to become one that you are probably seriously lacking regarding the rest of your life. I mean, do you all want to end up like Myrth, who seems to take the whole thing too seriously and spends his whole life in here?

As for the other thread regarding the deletion of Cottonisking and this “mod center” thing, well, again, it’s just a game. Who cares what info is there. In the real world, it has a relevancy of 1 out of a 100. It’s truly amazing that people care so much about something so trivial.

your way of life is no better than anyone elses. What may seem trivial to you may not seem so to others. Simple as that, really. (I spend way too much time here too, but I choose to. It's not as if I cause any harm, or your life is worse because of it.)

And i tyhink, you should go back to real life and start making a contriburioin to the real world rather than whinging about us.

and GK has a right to want to be a mod. And what ydo you care if he.she does want to be. Do you thinkj we would go around saying OMG Democratic Nationality wants to be a troller...OMG if yoiu chose that path.

So i suggest, without raising my voice that you go back and rethink your motivation for creating this thread.

My motivation for creating the thread was reading some of the groveling posts regarding the "mod center" in the locked Cottonisking thread. I would have posted it there if it hadn't been locked. All the smiley faces and the "I hope there's nothing there too bad about me" etc. I wasn't trying to cause offense, but it does seem out of proportion, to be so concerned about what is, after all, just a game.

Judging by this and the other responses to my original post, I see I hurt some people's feelings. So sorry! It's truly terrible to not take NS seriously. It's, just, I don't know, really criminal. Oh well. I promise to be more, how should I put it, gentle in future with all you sensitive types. And I must remember how to use tags properly!!!

But seriously - this is my last post on this thread - I don't want to be one of those types who continues ad-infinitum, posting and posting and posting for no appararent reason except to salve boredom. That really is sad. :wink:

Ah, yes, the classic method--make your opponents look bad by making them seem zealous on the subject, while you sit back and say, "I won't say anything further on this subject, I have things to do..."
