I simply want to clear the air with Cog, after this comment was made in another thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150628&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0), because it infuriated me to no avail.

Looks like you didn't leave after all...

Cut the snide tone-of-voice. Now.

You will treat other players with respect.

First, whether this gets me warned or not, that comment may have been out of line but I beg the moderators pardon as to who I respect and who I don't. I also admit that it was the wrong place to sort out personal grudges/annoyances/whatever with another player.

HOWEVER, (this is the part that truly, madly, deeply upset me), I am by no means obligated to respect anybody within the confines of this game or the real world, for that matter. Anyone who read my earlier Not Your Typical Gay Rights Activist thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=128876&highlight=) will not that Joe Stalin and I debated over our differences of respect. He believing humans are automatically given it, and I believing that humans must earn it.

Many players on here have earned such respect, and Kisarazu is not one of them. This does not give me the right to flame or mistreat him, but it does affect my attitude towards posts and such within the forums and my response to them.

And the same rule applies to everywhere I go, and the Moderation forum is absolutely no exception. The only rule I've ever seen that comes close to quite possibly might come into play here is the "play nice" rule in effect pretty much in every game, but it does not regulate the mere factor of respecting one another.

The comment itself was in no way disrespectful in it's attempt, I have since retracted it from that thread and will cease to post there, and if you wish to issue an official moderator warning for it, that's your perogative, but the comment was aimed at pointing out the nature of Kisarazu in all forms.

The comment referred to this and warrants justification because of this thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150628&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0):
say goodbye to Kis, im sure most of you wont miss me. maybe i will come back eventually. and id like to say that i like many of you, and despise some of you- but on the whole NS is a cool place. bye dudes.

Kisarazu lied. Came back in a thread in Moderation, no less. Thus, I remarked on it. Simple as that.

Wrong forum, yes, wrong wording, perhaps, but disrespectful, no.

Disclaimer: I posted this in the Moderation forum, because Cogitation openly made the remark, and I feel that this is a justifiable means of defending my character, which I felt was attacked personally, by those comments. Cog, if you wish to discuss this further, then, by all means lock/delete this topic and telegram me at your convience.

a mod talks to her "roughly" and she gets defensive. i said i left, and i mean it. doesnt mean i cant come back once and a while and leave a small mark. when i say leave, i mean stop my excessive flaming, spamming, trolling, etc. it also means that i will almost never again post in general- cuz i dont wanna get ip banned. it doesnt mean ill stop reading and taking care of my nation.

and trust me- i dont need your false respect. you dont rank to high on my list either.

I can get defensive if I so choose so, it's my prerogative, but I felt like explaining myself and admitting my faults, as I did.

Leave, courtesy of Dictionary.com, "To go out of or away from."

Doesn't mean to come back.

and trust me- i dont need your false respect. you dont rank to high on my list either.

You asked me kindly to stay out of your threads, I ask the same of you.

there's a difference between respecting someone, and treating someone with respect.
also, if you don't like someone, don't respond to them.
it's a big forum ;)

yep, putting my nose into other people's business again, can't help myself sometimes..

Ah, I love you anyway, Crazy girl... I respond, because I choose to, yes, I understand the consequences of such reaction to someone. I suppose I like to respond, because I know the answers, most of the time.

hate to see you get in trouble over something as little as this :)

I definitely will be avoiding that nation, or at least, not responding in a way that's thought to be flaming or such.

However, the intent of this thread was to clear up the statement I vehemently disagree with Cogitation for using. If Cog wants to warn me, then, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I just getting my point across that I was justified.

I'm sure he'll respond once he sees it.

I'm sure he will, too. I telegrammed him the link as well. We just disagree, no hard feelings or anything towards him.

First, the other Moderators have brought this to my attention and have informed me that my opinion of what constitutes acceptable forum behavior is a bit more strict that what's normally enforced. Specifically, that Tuesday Height's post did not cross any lines worthy of Moderator attention. Hence, I retract my earlier statement as an official statement and will edit it as such (with a link to this thread).

Second, I was under the impression that Tuesday Height's had addressed her post to Blue Viper, a player who was just deleted. It was Blue Viper's thread. Thus, it appeared to me that Tuesday Heights was taunting Blue Viper for being deleted; this was a strong contributing factor in my original reply. Had I understood the correct context of the remark, it would have been far less likely that I would have read anything into Tuesday Height's comment.

Third, I reiterate one of Crazy Girl's comments, namely that there is a difference between respecting someone and treating them with respect. The difference is, however, academic, as neither is required under NationStates rules; just don't go around throwing insults. It is my personal (read: "unofficial") opinion, though, that being disrespectful towards someone isn't productive and is liable to start a flamewar. I also point out that, besides treating someone with respect and treating someone with disrespect, you can also not treat someone at all. That is, just silently ignore them. This was an option that I overlooked when I first posted my response to Tuesday Heights. Again, though, this is just my personal (again read: "unofficial") opinion.

Finally, I offer my apologies to Tuesday Heights for the erroneous judgement.

Apologize accepted, Cog, and honestly, after the misunderstanding, I am humbled that you would apologize nonetheless.

I have always said that the moderators of NS are fair and understanding, as this case proves, thank-you all for that.

Well, why do you think that I posted a retraction? Hmmm?

Because my statement wasn't consistent with the judgement of the other Moderators.
