You COULD try toughening up... or even debating him... so far in the thread you posted a link to, all you've done is call him a liar without provising any evidenece (by the way, by YOUR standards, calling someone a liar IS a flame....)

Sorry TG, just wanted to clarify... has BS been officially warned for calling this guy 'an idiot'.... is that the level these days of flame which gets you a warning? If so, I think we need confirmation, because it seems harsh. If it IS the ruling, then I'm actually scared to post anything!!

Yeah, another point, it normally takes a lot more than calling someone an idiot to merit an official warning, let alone a deletion. We would be looking for serious verbal abuse, otherwise obvious malice, etc. Like I said, I have seen enough questionable stuff to keep an eye on you, not so in the case of BackwoodsSquatches.

EDIT: No, there is more than one type of warning. Normally, for relatively minor stuff like name-calling, I just tell people to cut it out. You have to do something more serious to get a deletion-on-next-offense note.

I'm afraid I can't. No warning is currently listed in the Forum Mod warning sticky in the private Mod forum. That's where we usually put the deletion-on-next-offence forum stuff, and what I use as a reference. Also, I do not know in what form the warning was, and where it was located.

As for the warning....
Sirroco (I think) just told me to lay off....I DID call him an idiot.....and was making various accusations about his character, all of wich pointed at his debating skill.

I said nothing more personal or insulting than "Your an Idiot".

I got warned....I cooled down.....but didnt back off.
I still went after Cappa...but didnt use any name calling....
Just facts and links.

Sirocco , I believe basically said..."Hey..Squatch.....cool it."

So..I did.

Nice to know that I didnt have a "Terminate that Squatch!" tag in the mod forum.
