Oh dear....

It may.......
But then can wiping post give you a "-" post count? Surley it can't go down?
Or can it?

The deletion of posts or topics for any reason will reduce post count.
If a person double-posts, it is sometimes only counted as one post. If both posts get deleted, then the postcount would then go down by two. This error is, however, rare, so you're not likely to see anyone with zero or negative postcounts. (It's possible, just not likely.)

Actually, I don't believe they'll go below 0.
I suppose, in a way it works out. Those who made there posts RPing won't get a drop as opposed to those who just chatted who will.
So the harder workin NS players will benifit as they so deserve...
You still havn't answered my question. Would all posts in the club/party/chat threads be deleted?

Current SOP stipulates that chat-threads are locked at 65 pages. Now, they may eventually be purged from the server, which gives a "yes and no" answer to your question.
If the thread is purged via Admin Purge, your post count will not drop.
If the thread is purged via Mod Pruning, your post count will drop.
Admin Purges are, essentially, a script that removes all posts without posts more recent than a certain timeframe (usually 30 or 50 days). Mod Pruning is when a Moderator goes into a forum, scrolls back several pages (usally 400 pages or so) to an earlier date (again, usually 30 or 50 days) and manually deletes threads. Admin purges tend to hit all forums (Tech, Mod, "Forum 7", and Jennifer Government are usually spared). Mod Pruning is usually just in General, but occationally NS or II.
Recently, we've had both.
