Past precedent has allowed display of the Swastika in the forums (for example, Parratoga's boots with swastikas on the soles), they appear to only be banned from flags.

hmm... I asked this a few weeks ago here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142936&highlight=), and was told that swastikas on flags never, but on the forums it could be done.

Hmm - appears to have been a change of policy since I last asked. When did this happen?
Having said that you appear to have missed one of my posts with swastika pictures - halfway down the second page of the thread.
Steph, I got a moderator opinion that in an RP thread I could use a Swastika or a Sauvistka. Um...has that changed?

Out of curiosity, why are so many non-Jewish people offended by the Swastika?
I'm certainly not a Nazi (one of my hobbies is military history, and I build model tanks and aircraft), but I've never been offended by the Swastika, any more than I'd be offended by the Hammer & Sickle or the Tricolor.
Obviously I wouldn't want one on my car (or on anything that I own, for that matter), but are there that many people on the site for whom a Swastika would cause grave personal offence?
