I'm sorry.

Over the past few weeks, I've probably offended most members of the NS non-roleplaying community, as well as the moderating staff. I'm not going to offer any excuses, there are none, but I am going to apologise.

Moderators, especially Cogitation and The Most Glorious Hack (who had to clean up my messes), I admit that I was trying to arrogate to myself some of your powers to deal with rulebreakers. In so doing, I have generally been snide and malicious, both to the moderators themselves and to the unfortunate players. There was a recent thread where IDF brought a complaint to the mods. In this thread, rather than letting a mod deal with the problem, I stepped in and tried to resolve the incident. In so doing, I only made the situation worse, as recent events in the International Incidents forum have attested.

I've also stepped into other threads and insulted people who had broken the rules, verbally assaulting them and overstepping the bounds of decorum. I apologise to the players concerned, and to the moderating staff, for my actions there.

Finally, I'm sure you've received a large amount of complaints about me over the months I've taken part in the General and Moderation forums. I don't know why I've never received any warnings from the moderators, but I thank them and the administrators for their forebearance. I will, myself, attempt to moderate my behaviour for my remaining time at NationStates.

Thank you,

Roania

I never thought you were being rude, if it means anything...

I never noticed it, but I rarely step out of the U.N. Forum.

...

Yet :

Now, as a fellow player, I state here and now I have no power in this matter apart from being a voice to be heard. But, I must speak, if only to say this and be so heard by others :

As a fellow player, I have no power to judge, that is for The Powers That Be to do.

But, as a fellow player, I note your apology here, and your willing to openly admit possible fault.

As a fellow player, I have seen no evidence of your actions being of disgrace or merit, but, for this which you have said today, I applaude you for your honor and bravey, as a fellow player amoung the many who may not.

It is this positive player attitude in respect for the Rules, Moderators, and fellow players, that speaks volumes of your character, and in your defence. Remember if nothing else, you are respected for it by others.

Regards,

- Le Représentant de Komokom.
