Make up your mind mods...

Earlier, I spammed Forum 7 in a way that it was spread out and didn't really affect any one topic. The Glor. Hack warned against going further. So I respected his wishes and refrained from spamming Forum 7 altogether.

But then I asked Hack if I could just spam in one topic.
Perfectly acceptable

So I spammed the topic in Forum 7...Myth (or Myrth) came along. He warned against me. All I said was that acceptable spamming has it's limits. TAR told him that spamming here was justified.

Yet 21 pages worth of one topic

200 POSTS WERE DELETED! That was a full 30 minute's worth of work right there!

Ahh, another mod confirmation

I won't get DEATed for...spamming the Forum 7...right?

RIGHT?

Unless it's goatze or something, spam Forum 7 away =p

Me-thinks you have to remember the Moderators are not one individual, they are a collection of individual entities, each of a mind of its own. In other words, they probably have differing opinions as to how much spam is acceptable.

Ha, how much spam is acceptable

Did I just say that ?

Colodia, you've been asking pretty much non-stop if you're going to get deleted and how many warnings you've had lately... don't you think spamming, even in Forum 7, might get you into even more trouble?

There's already a discussion on the spam in Forum 7 in that link. Mabye you can move this so we don't have two threads on one subject.

Anyhow, you filled a sticky up with spam - 21 pages of the words "spam" and "c-spam". You think that that's acceptable? I can't speak for Hack or for any moderator, but if you asked if you could spam a sticky with 21 pages and 200 posts, I don't think you would have gotten a yes - but again, that's just my speculation.

I'm still seeking for a mod's word on the subject.

You don't need to bump in moderation, especially since your thread was still on the first page.

The mods are busy and will get to everything as soon as they can.

Ahem. Ever hear of the concept of degrees? Spam is one thing. 21 pages of spam is completely different. "Give an inch and the take a mile", if you will.

I would have deleted it too.

a warning would've sufficed then. For future references.

You saying "perfectly acceptable" gave me the green light to spam that topic back to the server's mother.

Alright...so what is acceptable? 10 pages? 13?

Do remember when an invader demanded that we give a hard number for the number of times they could change the password?

We avoided giving a hard answer, put continued to be pressed, so I said 1 per day. They didn't much care for that, as it was far less frequenty than what people normally got away with, however, by pressing for an exact number, the number given was not in their favor.

Do you want me to tell you how much spam is acceptable, or would you rather use common sense, and maybe try to have a point to posts?

<--------- Not a moderator wannabee.

Remember, it is not only the number, what makes it spam. A single message can be seen as spam. I get at least once a week an e-mail about new screensavers. That is only one message, but it is still spam. When hack told you that spam in one thread was perfectly acceptable, he simply meant, that it was acceptable 8) He didn't give you a free pass to overdo it.
