Colodia and The Atheists Reality spammed the "The Fate of Forum 7!" sticky from page 12 to page 35 this morning. That has to be the worst spam I've ever seen. I'm surprised nobody reported it today.

Can someone clean out the sticky please?

Mutant Dogs: Forum 7 is for offbeat, out of the ordinary things (=jokes). You can joke around and say stupid things, but you can't say, "spam, spam, spam". The threads need to have some kind of a point to them, even if it is a stupid point.

nope, reppy said in the cosplay thread that we can spam forum 7 as long as it doesnt get out of hand

Spamming 25+ pages in Forum 7 would be considered overkill.

Humm... Then why did Sirocco lock a thread for being spam? I'm still confident that "+1" spam is not permitted in Forum 7.

It looks like we'll need a mod ruling in this thread to solve this problem, and then a sticky in Forum 7 that outlines the rules so solve future problems. There really needs to be some concrete rules for Forum 7 so these types of problems (disputes) don't happen anymore.

Locked by an unknown mod, but appears to be locked because it's pointless (=spam).

The other locked threads in Forum 7 appeared to be locked for reasons other than spam. I hope this helps a bit!

Smilies are not spam. Smilie topics cause the server to load pages slower than it can possibly do.

And the bouce topic would CERTAINLY be acceptable in General.

It's called smiley spam, to be exact. It's not permitted on NS because it does slow down page loads (like you said), but it's still a type of spam nevertheless. The point of that link was to show that Forum 7 has some spam rules to it and it's not acceptable to spam the begeebers out of it.

In regards to the bounce topic, I said that it appeared to be locked because it was pointless, that's all. But if you think that it would be ok in General, then it definitly should be ok in Forum 7.

Anyhow, I think I'm going to hold off on posting in here anymore until we get an official mod response or a new view point from someone else. I don't think that bickering between the two of us is solving anything.
