Cognition, Reploid Productions and Ineptia: Atlantic

Firstly - I would ask Reploid Productions to state here what telegram he sent me - because I did not see it and was probably sent when I was offline. When I came online, "Musez" was deleted.

Secondly, I would ask Ineptia to explain his telegram - it stated that a nation was to be unbanned after an invasion. I then sent him a telegram asking if it was alright to keep the former delegate out because his return would mean an immediate ousting. Pehaps his response was the same situation as that as RP.

Lastly, Cognition, why have you deleted my nation "Musez" when it was the nation "The Tank Engine" that carried out the crime. I again ask you to give me back Musez as I committed the so called 'crime' (which I staunchly object to) with TTE.

Deleting 2 of my nations is surely unheard of in a case like this. It is not as if both were in the UN, in which case I could accept your decision. There is no reason to have deleted both accounts and that is highly unfair and as far as I know unheard of. Please, once more, consider giving me back 'Musez'.

Asking Ineptia to explain his telegram is a big mistake, he could persuade an Eskimo to remortgage his igloo to buy an industrial ice box.

Ask a harrassed Mod, not Jefferson Mod.

The rules are repeated all over this forum. Further explanation not required. In any event the ousted delegate didn't log on for day so you would have been okay.

"Cognition" isn't even very original and/or funny, either.

It's "Cogitation" 8)

I was rushing and never properly read Cogitation. Apologies. But would other players please keep this thread for the mods rather than a pointless chat.

Not everybody reads the forums due to pointless ramblings on many of them. How about stating the rules on a page that each nation would actually read on the site and not on these forums!!!!!

The rules as the currently stand are based on precedent, so there is no option but for them to be here in the Moderation forum.

When the current consultation exercise in codifying them is completed there will be the option to put them in the FAQ or on a seperate page.

Er, not a Mod, blah-blah

Incidently, if you DO want to learn the rules and how to invade properly and legally, join Gameplay Academy.

I love how people break the rules they agreed to abide by when they signed up to play a FREE game, and then, complain about not knowing these rules when they break them.

To be fair, if a new nation was to enter nationstates, how the heck are they supposed to gnaw there way through the red tape of can and cants. The Mods need to get there act together and get a rules page up on the actual site to avoid continual asking of questions.

Most people have to learn a little first, and in the course of learning how to do it, they really should learn how to do it right.

It's not the mods job to make sure you know the rules, it's there job to enforce the rules.

Any intelligent human being knows there are rules for a game, and if one asks, they can find them easily.

While technically accurate, by using the phrase "intelligent human beings", you almost sound like you're flamebaiting by implying that some of the posters here are stupid.

I suggest avoiding that, as there's no need to antagonize people any more than strictly necessary. Just a friendly reminder.

My response basically stated that you must send the password to all natives in the region- whether they've been ejected or not.

As for the banning, it's a case of tough luck- a native that has been ejected must be unbanned immediately. They do not become delegate until the daily update, and only then if they have more endorsements than the current one.

Pity we don't code the game, huh?

As I did say above the way that the rules have evolved that is not possible. They're like common law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_law), not roman law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpus_Juris_Civilis), and as Hack added the Mods can't re-code the game anyway. That request belongs in technical, where you'll get "what rules?, they haven't been codified yet".

If they weren't so complicated to implement I think this and the tutorial idea are blinding. You could even put restrictions on "learner nations" you can move region once a week etectera. Any volunteer coders about?

You have deleted The Tank Engine - fair enough.

As for the deletion of Musez who was not the delegate - unjust.

Please now, Cogitation, consider unbanning it. (rather than following pro-Atlantic world opinion!)

Why don't you just walk away? This isn't going to happen the way you want it. Anyone involved in griefing is target for deletion, as they also are accomplishes in breaking the rules.

Unfortuneately, glory happens to be overrated when it comes to disagreeing with the mods.

And you aren't going to get your nation back, if not simply for the fact that they want to spite you for calling them unjust.

Believe me, I had almost the same thing happen to me. It ain't gonna happen.
