I know what the definition of a Troll is, according to the NS Mod Dictionary... but I would like to include this definition:

Troll_2: People who go from thread to thread, following people around, poking and proding at them, trying to get them angry.

Also, People who purposely Hijack a thread to try to derail a perfectly good topic into a flame war.

Just wondering why I always get blamed for Trolling when these guys are the ones who come in ans hift the meaning of the thread around...

Play fair, mods :)

I believe you refer to the practice of flamebaiting.
If you think someone is flamebaiting, please link to the thread here.

If you think someone is flamebaiting, please link to the thread here.I mean the practice of stalking. I'm getting paranoid here! There are some people that seriously follow me around from thread to thread, just so they can make fun of me personally.

Does calling me a cultist, after I explicitly tell them I take offense to that name, count as a flame?

What about atheists who bust into a Christian discussion thread just to Bash christians?

If they are saying it deliberately to annoy you, then yes - it counts as flamebaiting. They are trying to get you to flame.
Atheists are fully entitled to 'bust in' to a Christian discussion thread provided they debate within the General forum rules. No flaming, no baiting.
If you think they are breaking the rules, link to it here so a mod can take care of it.

Could it be called hijacking though if they 'burst in' to a discussion thread just to 'bash' something.

If someone was debating religion, and people turned up to post and compare images of kittens, then that would be a hijack, maybe even spamming. But if they turn up and debate religion too, that's not a hijack. It is certainly not a hijack if all that's happening is that their opinion differs significantly from that of the others. Which from what I have seen is pretty much the case.

Disagreement in debate != Thread hijack

And as has been said, for a fuller evaluation, our attention would have to be drawn to the specific posts in question.
