Invasion Password Question

If a region is invaded but is already passworded. Do the invaders have to give out the current password to all the natives just in case some of them don't know the password?

Sounds reasonable to me. Of course, if you change it, you have to send it out. Also, I would think that if you removed it, and then put it back, you would have to let the natives know.
