As for the first GMs, I'd imagine Amerigo, Yavin, Melkor and those other oldies.

Very old. I've never exchanged messages or forum posts with either Amerigo or Yavin, and I've only seen Amerigo post a few times.

*sigh* I should have been more active on the NationStates forums back in early 2003, rather than just hanging around the "West Central Asia" regional offsite forum.

Heh, Cog, back in the early days (January, February) the forums only worked for me in a very short window at about 10am when all the Americans were sleeping.
I didn't become active in the forums for a long time.

Menelmacar and Melkor were the very first mods I believe.

I know Amerigo mostly through the various metal threads

Amerigo was a famous RPer, involved in what is considered to be the best War RP ever -- the Amerigan Slave War. He then settled in the General forum... and has been inactive lately.

Feoras/Demoness was at the least a very early FM.

[mantle] was the first, technically.

Amerigo, Demoness, Menelmacar, Melkor, and TJ were the first Forum Mods installed after [mantle] had left, and all were added at the same time.

Melkor and Menelmacar were the first GMs, also promoted simultaniously.

Same here...though for me it's the Middle East region.

I was the first mod... errmm wait.. ur all not supposed 2 know that im ma...... ill shut up now...
