I skimmed the thread, I say skimmed because it is 36 pages. I really didn't see any thing that would warrant it being locked. It's no different then when we discuss religion in terms of other subjects or the tons of gay threads we get. I don't see it as any personal attack on any one. It is The Atheists Reality's thread and he seems to want it left open, barred finding any reason to lock it, I'm going to respect The Atheists Reality's wishes. It will get locked at 65 pages any way, although I'm sure it will probably die before then, however regardless it's got till page 65 unless it starts to fall apart. Which doesn't seem to be the case at this time.

If I may observe: the reason it goes back and forth endlessly is because no one is budging from his or her beliefs...
...and in something as personal as one's religion, people are likely to be offended when told they are wrong.

That is not a personal attack Ray.. no one said "Ray is blah blah blah" have they? Not that I have seen. You had no trouble posting gay bash thread after gay bash thread yourself. I never locked them unless flaming happened. People are free to say any thing they like about a group of people. Heck, we even have Nazi's on NS, did you know that? Unless it becomes a personal attack I'm not locking a thread just because you don't like it.
