Is the paradise.net.nz ban likely to be lifted soon?

As for the paradise.net.nz situaion...that has recently /resolved/ itself.
(from this thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=137107&start=60))
In addition, I see
[code:1:0ac8a54207][20:08:29] <vonKarma> rejoice, for the michael jackson spammer has been dealt with definitively
[/code:1:0ac8a54207]
in my log of #nationstates, about six days ago. Other parts of that day's IRC log also seem to imply that the spammer has indeed been dealt with. Yet I still cannot access the game, and the message I get hasn't changed (it was also last updated six days ago, but doesn't mention any possibility of the ban being lifted - I think the message is slightly older). A complete refresh of the page didn't help, and neither did trying various URLs referring to parts of the game which Telstraclear's accursed proxy servers would be unlikely to cache, so I assume the ban is not lifted yet.
Is the ban going to be lifted soon, or is there some reason why this isn't going to happen yet? A six day delay is rather worrying...

Paradise.net.nz has said they'd changed the way users are routed to the Nationstates site, but in fact they haven't yet. So far the count is 16 increasingly annoyed emails from Max, and one scathing article in the NZ Herald.

The stuff you quoted was in reference to #nationsates, not the game itself.

Ah, I see. Thanks. I thought I'd typed out a bit asking if it was only relevant to #nationstates, but it appears I didn't...
So it's a case of waiting for the ISP to do something (as always)? Should I be asking them about what progress they've made and/or sending them complaints about the delay? If so, are there any additional details that would help?

By all means, feel free to lodge complaints with them. Given the span of time they've had, even a slow ISP ought to have taken care of the problem by now.
Perhaps if they start getting highly annoyed emails from their customers, maybe they'll get their act together.

Pretty soon, they actually take AOL's crown as Most Hated ISP.

Whoa whoa whoa, Hack... Sure they're bad, but isn't that a bit uncalled for?

Thanks for the link... one thing confuses me, though (not that I expect a clarification here):
"It's probable a student was simply browsing the [NationStates] site around the time someone was hacking the site."
I don't think the guy understands enough about how internet servers can log actions. I'm sure there were plenty of users connecting around that time, but not all of them are under suspicion. The only way that it's remotley possible for none of their students to be guilty is if a) they have open-access computers (my uni does), or b) there is a proxy server running from their campus (incredibly unlikely that they wouldn't know about it, and any they run is likely not open).

S'cuse me, Cog, but I think yer forgetting somebody who pulled more than one or two all-nighters along with Hack and GMC to keep that wanker from spewing his crap all over the forums!

I'm seriously going to ask. I'd be stunned if it actually got made public. Not even the Mods know what was going on there beyond "Max screamed at clear.net".

I figured, but that wasn't even a well thought out attempt at it :P
