After one warning, it is to the Mods' descretion to delete someone who breaks the rules.

Raysia was warned on no fewer than four separate occations.

This is how the game works folks. This isn't new.

And Sniper Country, get down off that cross. Martyrdom doesn't suit you.

I like Raysia. He's a good guy. Fabulous imagination.

Warnings. I see the word Warnings over and over, yet I don't see anything that says why he was warned. Yeah, I see the world trolling over and over to. That really helps. I know a troll is something that has wacky hair and I played with when I was 2.

I am not trying to be as mean as it sounds. I simply want just reason for Raysia's deletion. I want to see/know what he was warned about.

And cross? Come on. I'd prefer stake or steam roller. :o

Not necessarily; trolling isn't so much making posts that happen to anger people due to their own viewpoint as making posts that have no other purpose but to anger the other guy.

If you post something like Bush is an Idiot or Atheists are idiots or even start a debate about God and you think that no one is going to take offensive somewhere (since essentially the posts are flames and stupidity) then you are very naive.

Well, let me start off by saying a couple of relevant things. First, I really liked Raysia, although I have never really seen him on the General Forum. As far as I know of him, which I'll admit, is very little, he seemed like a cool guy.

Secondly I am reasonably well known as a conservative, and until recently - because of RL happenings - I have been very active on the general forum.

Now, I have never, in my span of months here, been warned, messaged, deleted, or reprimanded in anyway by the mods. Claiming that Raysia was deleted for having too strong of views, or being conservative is outright ludicrous.

As far as Stephistan goes, I hold no animosity there, while I do strongly disagree with many of her political beliefs, and personally think she is a little to close-minded for my liking, I have not seen her abuse her powers. Her only true crime (which isn't even a crime) is that she lets her passionate political side show on the forums - and I must honestly say that never once have I seen her mix the mod with the 'tic. She has strong political beliefs and isn't afraid to make them known, but she does not use her mod powers for personal issues.

Believe me, I once felt the same exact way as you do right now, or did (I know am posting rather late in this incident and that Hack and Reploid have already responded.) I insulted the integrity of Stephistan then too, when she first became a mod, but I realize now, reading this, that I was really in the wrong back then.

Furthermore I hope that Raysia will come back as a new nation, and continue to make those designs that we all love so much, as well as debate on the General forum - after learning his lesson and taking it to heart.

Delete me if you want, but I find it very disturbing that several nations have been deleted for flaming, trolling, etc when other nations can go around willy nilly flamebaiting without fear.

Hmph...I'm afraid looking at long term trends that what I thought was a legend is actually true.

I do notice it too with people consistently starting flame wars and often a lot of times they get axed I have to say the mods do a great job but also many go free.

Thank you Agrigento.. You expressed what I have wanted to say all night... It really has been as though there were two Raysias, In Int Inc, He was a reasonable, Creative, Thought-out RP'er with incredable talent and 3D skills.

In General... Well... Its what he did in General that we are having this discusison, I too would like to see him come back.. If perhaps a more, humbled, nation...

Um, the first two are trolling and I've never said otherwise in this thread. The last is contentous; it is possible to debate religion maturely and without taking things to heart and calling the other person a moron / heathen / whatever.

It may be "possible" to debate religion maturly as you said above but that's as unlikely as getting struck by lightning. Religion is a passionate topic and its going to get people going that's for sure. You're going to have a flame-war eventually with such a thing.

This is where things like "intent" come into play.

In which case, isn't it the fault of whoever starts flaming rather than whever started the topic?

In my experience on the general forum I have seen a good deal of mature debates on religion. It has been a while since I really discussed things but most of the time a good discussion will occur and then an impasse will occur. Arrogance, Hubris, and a belief in self-infallibility seem to be the major culprit. The only true time I have difficulty in debating religion is when I meet someone who doesn't believe God exists.... because they believe themselves to be God...

We are but mere mortals.. we can't possibly read every single post by every single player. If you see people flame and or breaking NS rules then please come to moderation and post a link and a comment of what to look for. We will look into it. I have no doubt that people get away with breaking the rules. Mostly because they are not reported. We catch it if we happen to read the thread.. but if you guys don't help us and show where the rules are being violated, sadly, yes, some will slip through the cracks.

By nature such topics will invariably create problems and to think they won't is just plain stupidity. I'm not saying ban either one but what I am saying is that such should be taken into account. It's like the line in Apocalypse Now "Calling someone a murderer here was like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500." Anyone who starts a religious or political topic should be held to some account for what transpires afterwards. Nobody is immune to that.

I'm off to bed though. Long day of work tired me out so I'll hope to come on to this tomorrow and enjoy some fun. Night all.

If nothing else, thank you for accepting what happened with good grace. So often something like this happens and the guy who got DEATed flips out and goes on a spamfest or starts spraying porno and goatse all over the forums in retaliation, and gets IP banned.

I have to say, skimming over these threads, you've been one of the most reasonable about your deletion, and I probably speak for the rest of the mods that it is greatly appreciated.
