Disappearing Thread:

Twice I have started a harmless innocent word game in General and twice it has disappeared.

I had no warnings or any communication that this was offensive or spam; the threads just disappeared.

Last month it was "Stupid Answer, Stupid Question", which was about 23 pages.

This month it was "SASQ".

Other word games continue to run, such as "Word Game 3.3", "Word Game 4", and "Word Disassociation". I am glad they're there; they sharpen the mind.

But where did my creations go- and why?

I know they are gone because they are not in the forum back pages and not in "view your posts".

Any wisdom on this business, whether from players or mods, will be appreciated.

My paranoid brain makes me feel I'm being singled out as a spammer, which would be unfair.

did you ask in moderation or anything?

I asked the forum moderator.
If you think this should be moved, maybe I'll move it.
I thought just maybe it might be a technical problem.

This bug happens sometimes. It's not mods, it's the server. That happened to the NationStates Super Thread in the NationStates forum. It disappeared in December and reappeared in January.

Yea Sometimes threads will disappear and appear later normally it is returned in a few hours but I never knew it took that long with the Superthread

That was what I thought, until it happened to two related but separate threads.

Then I began to get paranoid. :shock:

Me too cause then maybe I will be able to log into the forums during the day. :D

There is another thread that has dissapeared.

This happened to be once too with Seizure of Layarteb Embassy and frankly I thought it was wierd but after a few days it came back. I just wrote it off as a server/forum glitch due to excessive bandwith usage. The thread still exists if you go to the URL directly but in the forum and in the search it isn't there. Wierd huh? Ah well computers are funny sorts.
