Y'know, with how long that nation has been around, I think if was a problem, they would have DEAT'd it LONG before now. Obviously there's no problem with it.

While we're at it, why not DEAT me too, I've got an "OMG INAPPROPRIATE NATION NAME!!!!111shift+one OMG!" too. Eeesh, people make a big fuss out of the silliest things. --;

Your national name was ruled marginally acceptable a long while ago, as I recall. Additionally, your nation was created during the pre-mod era, so I think you'd fall under [violet]'s exemption, anyway.

Is this a reference to how Assjackistan was deleted and [violet] transferred its stats to a new nation? That's an important distinction to make, as that nation was still deleted. Basically, it was a forced name change. That's not quite the same as saying it is 'exempt', IMHO. If you're not refering to that case, could you please elaborate?

That is the case I am referring to. However, in that case, Assjackistan was first deleted by a Moderator, then the exemption was granted by [violet]. [violet] decided to manually transfer statistics over to a new national name for Assjackistan.

As transferring statistics like that is a bit tricky and tedious (from what I've heard), the decision was made by [violet] to allow old nations to continue existing under their current names (as opposed to tranferring statistics to force name changes, which would have been a considerable workload for [violet]).

Long story short: A forced name change was imposed on Assjackistan since he had already been deleted, but a different approach was chosen for all other very old nations with offensive names.

To say the least. As I understand, the "transfer" is essentially making a new nation and changing all the statistics to what the former nation had, by hand. On an old nation that answers issues, this is terribly timeconsuming, as there's many stats that need to be transfered.
