Vanishing founders?

What happens if a founder doesn't log in for more than 28 days? Our region is founderless at the moment and we do not want to find the region deleted, or have no-one in control (Founder is also UN delegate - I know we can elect a new delegate, but would they have Regional Control?)... is it possible to elect a new founder in such cases?
I would appreciate any help or advice on this matter.
Many thanks,
Grand Duke Gunther Gibichung
If the founder dies and there are still people in the region, then the region will still exist.
If the founder dies, regional control is automatically enabled for the delegate.
Founders are only appointed in exceptional cases, yours is unlikely to fit the bill.
This is what I would do.
I would contact everyone in the region and have them all move out temporarily. That way the region would be deleted. Then I would have someone, appointed founder at the meeting of all the nations in the region,
recreate the region whereby they become the founder.
But you must choose the founder before you delete the current region you are in, to recreate it with a founder.

Ahh, but you must be wary that nobody region-nabs then. You'd be advised to do it when the founder to be can be on for the update.
Region nabbing is the practice of waiting for all nations of a founderless active region to leave the region, then to refound it before they can.
