Dear moderators,

you problably have never dealt with me before, because I have always been the secretive, silent one of us two. I am Alice, the sister of Corinthe (Kitty).
It has been all my fault. It was me who retalliated every recruitment spam of other players. Ocasionally we logged in on each other's accounts, because that's easy when you share the same computer. I have recruited most nations in The Young World, and deserve all the punishment and blame. My main nation is The Black Spider in Island Nations of Aramir, but instead you deated my sister's nation Corinthe. I fully take responsibility for all what has happened, and wish that you delete my main nation, instead of my sister's nation Corinthe.
I have always been the dark side of us two, and since we are identical twins, many times my sister Kitty took all the blame. I owe her allot, and I wished that you took my main nation too. Reviving Corinthe will probably out of the question, but at least punish me too. My sister is hearth-broken, and I escaped again unharmed. I am in deep shame now, since the fairness against my sister is far gone, and I have to carry that burden, weather I like it or not.
I beg you please, take my main nation too, because it has all been my fault, and I can't carry that burden alone. My sister was just a happy camper, stating that she'd got a better person, being nice to everyone. She is, honestly. I'll sacrifice my main nation hereby, and hope that all will soon become better for me and my sister, whith whom I have to spend the rest of my life. NationStates has always been a fun game for me, in which I could plot and do undercover actions. While my sister played it openly, I played it behind the screens. It was me who did it all, and again my sister gets the blame.

We have no way of knowing that two of you are even there. We can only go on what we know. What we know is that Corinthe has played this game for a long time and should of known better. I am personally not buying this crap. However, I can't speak for all moderators.

I logged in with my main nation now.
I didn't expect you to believe anything I post here. The minimum I ask for, is the deletion of this nation. This is my main nation, and should have got the punishment, you have given to Corinthe.
You can check as little as this: Most Enlightened Taria is on a Wannadoo dialup in the Netherlands, and now The Black Spider is too on that same connection. Even the beginning parts of the IP adresses are the same. I can't stay here being unpunnished. I have to live with her, which you don't. We could even make a phonecall to you, though you probably will not be able to hold our voices appart. All I ask for is give me the same punnishment as Corinthe. You could deat me for braking an IP ban, or so. I gave you options enough now, don't you think. Just the simple fact that I'm posting here is an violation on it's self.

It is truely sad that in a game designed to send all new nations to a feeder region we can not even seek people to join our region from these feeders.

I have noticed that many who play this game are children, An now I see that the Mods are too . . .

A fun game, but you get very attached to your nation

Interesting variation on the "Evil Twin" theorum. Is this like the 'Spock's Beard' episode, where you're actually from a parallel evil universe (and wear a little Van Dyke), or perhaps like "I Dream of Jeannie" where her evil twin gets her in trouble with Major Nelson. Maybe it's Evil Twin Xena Warrior Princess, or Evil Twin Buffy, or maybe even Evil Twin Spongebob Squarepants.

It's been done before. It's been done better.

Unfortunately, we don't delete nations on request, or bargain like what you propose, Taria. We run into the same problem in this case that we do with family members being mistaken for UN multies: We can't tell how many people are on the other end of the trail- we can track a player to their computer, we can't tell how many people play from a computer. We can't just accept people's word, as a legitmate player can claim their sister or brother or whatever did something, not them, and so can a cheater or whatnot. (We've had cases of very blatant UN multies, and by blatant, I mean same flag, same motto, very similiar names, and posted emails being blahblah1@whatever, blahblah2, and so on claim that it was a sibling or roomie, etc.)

Corinthe has skated a very fine line for awhile now with the regional ads and stuff (even if it was someone else logged into her nation), and already had a warning on her nation for her forum-spamming stunt awhile back. (A stunt that by all rights should have gotten her and all her puppets DEATed, but since she had been a longtime positive member of the Nationstates community, she was just forumbanned instead. Any random n00b makes a bunch of puppets and starts spamming the forums in retaliation for a mod decision, they'd be zapped on sight.)

I was not the mod that handled the DEAT, but to my understanding only the involved puppet and her main nation were zapped, leaving many of her puppets to continue the game with. And actually, the other day I was considering lifting the forum ban, but now I need to discuss it with the Powers That Be.

I decided that this is "done deal". We are just looking for a way to motivate her to continue the game. She still doesn't understand what rule she broke that cause her to lose a region that would have shaked the Pacifics on their foundations, given time.

Acually it had been okay, if you deleted all her puppets by than. God knows, she deserved it. Actually, the fact that you didn't deat them all, was the most severe punnishment you could give (It was probably not you). Now she had to continue to play, knowing that one little misstake could have her deleted any time. And the fact that she wasn't allowed to debate and defend herself anymore, made her downright paranoid. A complete deletion of all her nations, would at least gave her a chance to come back with a clean slate.

I was not the mod that handled the DEAT, but to my understanding only the involved puppet and her main nation were zapped, leaving many of her puppets to continue the game with. No IP ban can stop a school kid, and with the social connections she haves, she could have logged into this forum from anywhere, but she never did. Not even when the Deat-Corinthe thead was started by Rert, who has been reported to our local autorities for stalking her.
Though she has always been an agressive player, she honestly thought that she stayed whithing the rules all the time. She posted one recruitment message in every Pacific and The RR, only once a day. 2/3's of these messages were mine, but since they were all allike, and my involvement can't be proven, we stick to the "Once a day in the Feeders and the RR" story.
She knew that recruiting was tricky, so she never asked any help from her friends (I never asked her permission). Once one of her friends posted a recruitment message in Europe, she immediately jumped in Europe to apolgize, and she got very angry at the guy who posted. She was afraid to lose friends because of spam-deletion.

Right now we trying to motivate her to continue the game. She would have built a region that would shake all the feeder regios on their foundations. We know she could do that. The mere though that the "Sword of Damocles" is still hanging above her head, has frozen her completely. She sees no reason to continue this game, though her friends are begging her, in the off-site forum.

We still don't understand what horrible thing we did, that caused her to lose a 360 nation's region, and the deat of her most beloved nation. Did she gave a wrong answer in one of the many flamebaing TGs that 1 Infinite Loop send her? We kina figured out by now that it was Neutered Sputniks who "deated" Corinthe.

What was so horribly wrong, in what she did, Neut?

Wow, this description makes Corinthe sound like the most important player, ever. If she can rock the foundations of The Pacifics, perhaps the mods should consider letting her back into the game. If she is that vital to the game, what will happen without her around?

Mods, I wish to point a couple things out.

1. I'm sure that you remember when "Danya's Mom" was spamming the forums. You took Danya's word for it being her brother, and Rep conceded that had it not been from Danya's IP, you would have banned them by now. You certainly didn't delete Danya for the spamming.

True I don't think that Danya had any warnings, but recall that Cor would never have spammed had the er- incident gotten her really upset. People tend to react before recting, and I'm sure that she was sorry and guilty when she had time to think about what she had done.

2. Secondly, one would *think* that you guys would find the tremendous differences in writing styles of Corinthe and Alice. I remind you that both are Dutch, yet with Cor, nobody would know it if she didn't say so. With Alice, she is still very coherent, yet makes a few typos as if trying to spell phonetically. Also, I seem to recall Cor's posts being short and to the point.

3. As Ballotonia pointed out Cor has always admitted that she had a sister. We've all heard her, and why would she make that up from the start? Seems rather unlikely to me, and she's always seemed honest to me at least.

Peace, Truth, and Justice,

Kitty has always told me she had a sister, she had no reason to lie to me about that.
Also, as far as i have seen it, Kitty and Alice both have a very different view on the game, and when Kitty wasn't allowed to play the game for a while, i exchanged a few telegram with alice bout when she would be allowed back..

now why would she lie about all that? to her friends?

It's also important to take into consideration that Danya didn't have a forum ban against her. I'm not sure why the selective memory is so important in these sitatuons (see when Corinthe was forum banned if you want to see what I am referring to).

She provided a lot to the game, but neither this nor her forum ban were the first time she had been warned by the mods for rules violations.

I don't know if she is innocent or guilty, but it is wrong to try to paint just a rosy or just a dark picture. Lets try for more of an honest one.

I would think a cruicial thing for the mods to consider would be how soon of a log on there was from one of Corinthe's nations to the log in of her sister's account.

The mods need to be fair to her, and not hold prior faults against her. I hope that she isn't guilty of spamming (again), but I don't want public sentiment to be unfair to her either way.

But that's irrelevant in the argument as to whether her charecter would allow her to do something like that. I was pointing out that she got a forum ban for spammin not because that was in her charecter, but because she kinda snapped after the incident.

Wat do you mean with the sentence about selective memory?

She provided a lot to the game, but neither this nor her forum ban were the first time she had been warned by the mods for rules violations.I don't recall any warings before then, and I read the Moderation forum reguarly back then. THe only ones that I remember were Neut's warning during the incident which [violet] repealed, and the friendly mod warning to note that she was not a mod in her siggy.

Can you fill me in on these other warnings?

I don't know if she is innocent or guilty, but it is wrong to try to paint just a rosy or just a dark picture. Lets try for more of an honest one.
Perhaps because I'm tired, this is the second sentence in your post that I find confusing.

I would think a cruicial thing for the mods to consider would be how soon of a log on there was from one of Corinthe's nations to the log in of her sister's account.
That probabbly varied. I know that I have different loggin times depending on what's going on IRL, the same could be said for them.

What I would like to know if they can verify is the time during Alice's being grounded that Alice's nations were logged on verry rarely and sporadically if it at all.

The mods need to be fair to her, and not hold prior faults against her. I hope that she isn't guilty of spamming (again), but I don't want public sentiment to be unfair to her either way.
Prior faults should be taken into account, but so too should be prior qualities, prior circumstances, and current circumstances in my opinion.
