Hello I would like to report a hacker. My region is the Sherwood Losers and a few days ago, my friends had secondary nations that wanted to join so I gave them the new password both In person and by email. Apperently, after these 2 nations joind a 3rd nation did as well. France Fries. None of us knew this person so we proceeded to eject him and change the password, standard proceedure i guess. However in recent events things have gotten weird. First off he created a region known as War against UN and Sherwood Losers and began to send all of us cryptic telegrams. And, just a few hours ago, he gave away his password to his nation on the UN forum. I quicly logged in and changed the password and posted this. His behavior is very odd. I have no idea how he got into our region.

There is no need to bump the thread when it is still on page 1. A mod will notice this thread soon enough, but by my long experience, you should use a password which is, as described by Reploid Productions,
-containing both letters and numbers
-containing assorted punctuation
-not a word in ANY language.

Unlike nation passwords, regional passwords are not encrypted on the server, and can be guessed by brute force, given enough time. So it's not so much hacking as it is dumb luck. For regional passwords, I suggest the following practice:

-Make the password some stupidly long random string of letters, numbers, and punctuation (I'm talking 15-20 or more characters long).
-If someone wants to join the region, temporarily change it to something shorter, and give the person the password.
-After they join, or after a designated length of time (24 hours is good), change the password back to another stupidly long random string.

When my friends nations were created, instead of going to a huge public region they BOTH got sent to a region where it was just them and France Fries. Also, the password was never uttered in telegrams or the Civil HQ he did not find it that way. And if you check France Fries' post history, he has an obsession of declaring war on the WHOLE UN.

It appears that France Fries has created his own region named "War on UN and Sherwood Losers" and his national motto is "Currently under interim gov. controll by Magna Mundus"

methinks he may be missin a few fries in his happy meal :)

My fiend who got hacked by France Fries has recently sent me this telegram:
"I don’t know who started France Fries but I think it is using me as bait somehow. Somehow he got the password to the region, and hijacked my new nation into France Fries’s private region. I also believed he got into my Jeditopa nation and posted something with that. In addition, he has changed my password on my IM. I got it fixed today though. I have a program finder that finds any program that gives out information that we do not agree to on the Internet. These programs have been showing up recently.

I believe this is how the person got into our region and how he took over Loped, Jeditopa, and my IM. I bet this person waited until I was online before he made his moves. I do not have virus protection because my old one expired but I am going to get it soon. This might help stop the person."
Game Moderators, I emplore you to find out who this guy is, my friend has been hacked numerous times over the past 3 days, his nations are Jeditopa and Loped. Thank You.

Bump, I wish the moderators could find this guy's IP and report him to his ISP or the proper athorities! My friend resorted to getting a new computer because of the recent hacks that included his internet being shut down.

The mods are busy, and you aren't helping but bugging them about this.

This appears to be an out of NS problem. It is impossible to hack computers through this game. I suggest that you deal with the matter directly as we cannot touch the root of the problem, nor does it directly involve us.
