Hey Snubis..:)

I took a look. I didn't find any thing wrong with his post. Both Democrats & Republicans go at each other. You know that. I did warn him about the use of smiley's and posting links with no comment.

I wasn't sure about the name though. Kind of a play on a Bart Simpson gag. So I asked another Game Mod their opinion and they were of the feeling that we should just keep an eye out to see if he makes any offensive posts. I also took a quick look at his post history. It seemed ok.

So, for now.. I don't see a problem. However, let us know if he posts any thing that breaks the rules. We will then re-assess the situation.

Steph did you actually look at the LINKS that were posted? That is more vulgarity then anyone should be allowed to spew. And on a site with minors no less........

That's not possible for us to do.. [violet] is the only one I am aware of that can actually change a nations name. I seen it happen once thus far and it was a very special circumstance.

I did go and take two of the links on the thread out. I thought I should tell you guys. Just so you know, the one with all the swear words was removed.. and the one saying Bush was a Nazi was removed. People did find them offensive. However, the rest of the thread and links were "ok" so I left them.

I asked the mods to look at this nation as well and they gave the same nonresponse. For once, I'm united with Snubis on something, although I can't say I object to the political content of his posts.

Quite honestly, I feel the very inclusion of his name in any forum thread is disruptive. It's scatological and offensive, and I don't feel it has a place in a supposedly fairly-decent environment.

Well, I did get a second opinion on the nation's name yesterday from another Game Mod. They said it was iffy.. but that we should leave it and just watch to make sure "Mike" wasn't a spammer.. etc.. I don't know any thing about the other nation name you posted that was deleted. I have no knowledge of it. Is it possible he was spamming or some other rule violated besides his nation name? Cause while I realize this "Mike" guy's nation name is a play on phonics, other then that his post history is umm acceptable. I don't want to say "great" just acceptable.

I suppose if he does break the rules it wouldn't be hard to justify deleting him. However, for the time I'm going to leave it. Let's see if "Mike" plays nice .. :wink:
